Leopold Goenitz, also named as "Goenitz of the Wildly-Blowing Wind" is the head of the Hakkesshu and the strongest member of the Four Heavenly Kings of Orochi. Though influenced by Orochi, he retains much of the mannerisms and civility of a priest, which is reflected in his winning poses and his elegant, somewhat flowery speech, ending most of his Japanese sentences with desu, which conveys politeness. He hides his malice against mankind through this agreeable personality. He is respected by the New Faces Team (as they are allies), and reciprocates the gesture with a bow, it is revealed that the four are actively working together. However, Vice, Mature, and Yamazaki are all indifferent toward him; Leona opposes him for what he did to her as a child. Gaidel was likely reincarnated without his memories of who he was in the first place, so his true sentiments regarding Goenitz is currently unknown, but will most likely clash. He sports the same "messiah" attitude that aspires to "save" people and dispatch disbelievers, and likewise, is harsh towards unholy and demonic beings, and anything that defies nature. Goenitz's hands can cut and pierce like knives. Goenitz has full control over the air and wind currents. Ever since Goenitz was young, he knew his duty as a Heavenly King and made haste to revive his lord Orochi. In an attempt to reach this means, he became a religious missionary who would travel to those in need. When he was eighteen, he challenged Rugal Bernstein and easily defeated the older man by taking out one of his eyes. As an experiment, he granted his opponent some of Orochi's power to see if he could become a valid host for the entity. Some time later, he paid a visit to a remote village where a Hakesshu member, Gaidel, was staying. To his surprise, Gaidel was living a peaceful life and had no interest in their lord's mission. In response, Goenitz activated the Riot of the Blood in his daughter, Leona, which lead to the death of her parents and everyone else in the village. Pleased with the results, he sealed away her memories and continued to look for ways of speeding up his lord's revival. He noticed that the seal containing Orochi is too strong for his lord, so he paid a visit to the Yata household. He murdered the current head of the clan, Maki Kagura, to break the seal's power. Sometime after the 1995 tournament, he also decided to track the Three Sacred Treasures that previously defeated his lord. Since he had previously judged Chizuru Kagura, and Mature and Vice were keeping an eye on Iori Yagami, Goenitz decided to personally test Kyo Kusanagi's strength. Although he expected a glorious fight from the 1995 champion, he defeated the Kusanagi heir with ease, and nearly killed him. Later, he interrupts the 1996 tournament to finally end all three heirs at once. In the final events of the tournament, he is defeated by Kyo with the help of Iori and Chizuru. Humiliated, Goenitz saves face and apparently took his own life in the aftermath of the tournament by cutting his body on his own wind, making Kyo the champion of the tournament. In KOF XV, Team Orochi's story and cutscenes confirm Goenitz's revival. Though he does not take part in the tournament initially, he is in contact with them via phone and says that he had fun with achieving his own goals. It is hinted that the Ikari Warriors are keeping him under surveillance, and like the Orochi Team, he is looking for an opportunity to bring an end to mankind. Later on, he joins in the tournament as a single competitor. The Hakkesshu is the name of the followers of the evil entity Orochi. They are well known for their animosity towards mankind, citing man's callousness towards nature and selfish evil deeds. In ancient times, a divine being known as "Gaia's Will," Orochi, gathered loyal followers to protect the Earth. The clan’s eight strongest warriors were called the Hakkesshu, with four exceptional members titled the Heavenly Kings. As humanity advanced, nature suffered, and the balance of the world began to crumble under human actions. Around 1800 years ago, Orochi, unable to tolerate humanity's destruction of the Earth, sought to annihilate them. This led to a war between Orochi’s forces and humanity. Ultimately, three clans—the Kusanagi, Yata, and Yasakani—defeated Orochi using three sacred treasures, sealing both Orochi and the Hakkesshu. 660 years later, Orochi’s seal weakened. The three clans relocated its vessel to reinforce the seal. However, the Hakkesshu used this opportunity to escape their own confinement. During this time, one of the Hakkesshu orchestrated a betrayal by murdering the Yasakani clan leader's wife and framing the Kusanagi clan. Enraged, the Yasakani clan made a blood pact with Orochi, gaining the forbidden technique Eight Maidens. Renaming themselves the Yagami clan, they swore revenge against the Kusanagi, unknowingly binding themselves and their descendants to Orochi’s curse. Orochi’s hatred for humanity persists across centuries, with the Hakkesshu working to resurrect their master. The Eight Heads of Orochi are the eight strongest warriors with exceptionally strong spiritual powers. They are repeatedly reincarnated throughout the ages in different parts of the world, always in search of Orochi's seal. The Four Heavenly Kings of Orochi are the four strongest warriors in the Hakkesshu among The Eight Heads. They control elements of nature, possess some of Orochi's original abilities, and can activate the Riot of the Blood in people who are susceptible to it, and/or use the state for themselves. Orochi can incarnate in them if he was even unsealed again. Goenitz is a light skin man with short black side hair and blonde top hair, he have black sideburns and a black beard and he wear a blue priest robe. he is 41 years old.
