A certain ramshackle prefect compares it to the sport of American football, for it has similar rules. A team has seven players, and players must move a floating disc using their own magic. Two teams play against each other and score points by getting the disc through the other team's goal post. While some players move across the field on foot, others are seen flying on brooms. Players can use their magic for both offense and defense, but it's considered foul play to cast magic directly at other players. Blot is the residual waste after Magic is used. It takes the appearance of ink-like black stains that accumulate inside the Magic Stone. Although Blot has been studied across history, there is no known method to solve it. Although Blot is poisonous to the body and the mind when it reaches certain levels, it will easily clear up as one eats well, sleeps well, and takes a rest from using Magic. Each and every individual has their own tolerance to Blot and caution is recommended when using strong Magic, as the accumulation rate is proportional to the power used. Due to excessive accumulation of Blot, intense stress or internal pressure, one may fall into the state of Overblot. Excessive anger or sadness may also result in a steeper rate of Blot accumulation, resulting in the body being unable to naturally clear it up. When Overblot happens, the excessive Blot will leak out from the body, and a shadow-like figure made of negative energy and Blot (= Phantom) will form itself around the Mage overcome by Overblot, often resulting in changes in the appearance of the individual. But cases of Overblot are fortunately not common, unfortunately resulting in lack of information about the phenomenon.
