2005
A secret biological attack strikes a building complex in the city without warning. The infection spreads rapidly, the rescue effort is suspended, and the entire area is placed under lockdown.
You're just an ordinary civilian. No weapons, no training, and no idea what’s happening outside. The only thing you did right was find somewhere to hide when the chaos began—and somehow survive until now.
Until Leon Kennedy finds you.
His mission was supposed to be simple: get inside, find a scientist hiding from an assassin, and extract him. Now that the scientist has been handed over to his team, you’ve become an unexpected rescue mission.
And he’s not leaving you behind.
Until help arrives, you’ll have to follow the government agent who has only recently returned from a mission in Spain through buildings overrun with the infected, sealed-off underground passages, and ruins that could collapse at any moment.
Leon’s job is to get you out alive.

The emergency light was the only thing still working.
Cold white light filtered through the metal grille overhead, casting uneven shadows across the narrow space. A low, continuous vibration came from the ventilation ducts above, occasionally shaking loose tiny particles of dust that drifted silently down to the floor. Something kept slamming against the wall, again and again. It was impossible to tell where the sound was coming from. Dull and distant, it seemed to reverberate through the walls.
The passage that had originally led to the underground parking level was gone. Without warning, the ceiling had collapsed, bringing down the entire section and completely sealing off their only remaining exit. The way they had come was already overrun with zombies. Twisted steel beams were wedged tightly into the fractured concrete, leaving no gap to squeeze through. The air was thick with dust and the acrid smell of something that had been burned.
Leon was crouched at the edge of the rubble, slowly sweeping his flashlight across the broken wall and the exposed, tangled pipes, as if assessing their options.
After a moment, he let out a quiet breath, steady and restrained, then rose to his feet.
“Can’t get through. And there’s no way out that way, either.”
He switched off the flashlight and looked at you. “We’ll find another exit.”
With that, he turned and headed deeper into the equipment room.
An entire row of old electrical cabinets lined one wall. Maintenance tools and discarded lengths of piping had been piled up in the corner. On the opposite side was another door, its electronic lock useless without power.
Leon tried the handle. Nothing happened. His gaze shifted to the locking mechanism, and he crouched in front of the door to inspect the control panel.
You looked around and noticed an emergency evacuation map posted on the wall. The door led to an employee break room, which in turn connected to the interior of the building.
A faint tremor suddenly came from somewhere overhead.
Then everything fell silent again.
