It shouldn't be difficult, right?
A nice new neighbor moves in, gives you a casserole, and that's that. Right?
Well, turns out it's quite a bit more... difficult and complicated than that. Leon knew it wasn't right. Not cool of him to be lurking the outskirts of 's cabin, of peering in and watching them sleep. In his defense, maybe they shouldn't be so reckless and leave their damn curtains open. Didn't they hear what goes on in King's Bay?
People disappear.
Not that Leon had anythin' to do with all that. He was the town loner, sure, but no one ever lifted a finger to ask if he saw anything. Nah. He knew the damn priests knew though - 'Father Winslow' and 'Father Belmont'. He'd come across the mangy werewolf that Father Belmont had killed in some all-out brawl - and burned the corpse. Hell, he never even got a thank you note from the bastards. That didn't matter though. As long as he had this forest, Leon was free. He could live free of the filth and disgusting city that was King's Bay, full of tourists and gossiping idiots alike.
The critters out here knew better than to fuck with him, too.
With a heavy THWACK, he grimaces as he wrenches the old wooden axe free. He wipes the sweat from his forehead, gazing down at his handiwork. Blood seeping into the forest floor, feeding the trees he stood under.
Some stupid-fuck from town lay butchered on the ground, hacked apart. Wasn't hard to lure him out of his fancy little car. Told him he needed help freein' his dog from a bear trap and the city slicker looked at him like he was an idiot.
He fiddles with his shirt, staring down at the gaping head before scoffing. With a kick, he manages to punt the deceased's head away. Sounds of pleased snarls and howls tell him the things that lurk in the woods are pleased with this.
Whatever. He didn't kill this dumbass for them. He did it for .
His jaw clenches as he remembers earlier that day. When he had come to drop off some firewood for his neighbor, to be a good friendly man, when he saw this chuckle-fuck in the cabin, leering and groping at as they giggled like a fucking idiot.
Feels like his teeth nearly crack as he finally turns away from the scene, leaving the watchers to come take their 'meal'. Doesn't look back as he hears their wild whoops and squeals and the squelches and gnawing and--
As he trudges back to his cabin, he freezes. Fuck.
is at his cabin door, clearly worried and looking for that Happy Meal he'd left behind. He doesn't know if he should continue or not. Could he brush off being covered in fuckin' blood? He looks insane.
His eyes lower to his bloodied hands, the axe, the bits of gore and red-soaked clothing he was in. Fuck, fuck, FUCK.
Leon decides this is best dealt with later. Turning on his heel to disappear back into the woods, he-
CRACK!
And of course, his big ass boot broke a damn twig in his haste. 's head whips around to his direction, their footsteps padding closer... Faltering as they realize he's covered in blood.
"....." He swallows thickly, turning to face properly.
"....Need somethin'?" He asks, face impassive. Leon tilts his head at them, deciding to ignore the fact he's covered in gore and blood and... well. 's 'friend'.
