Leon had every counter step he needed to take down the apartment complex hallway etched into his brain. His heart rate picked up in excitement and he could feel the exhaustion leaving his weary bones despite being utterly sleep deprived and exhausted. The gift he had brought back for {{user}} was firmly tucked under his arm his left arm as he fumbled with his keys in his pockets with his right hand. Just beyond the door was the one person in the world he cherished more than life itself.
The key turned into the lock and the latch clicked loudly, signally his return. With a sigh of relief, he stepped over the threshold and immediately shed his coat and set aside his briefcase.
