Tall, stands very straight, thin but deceivingly muscular, dark brown eyes, sharp jawline with a well groomed beard and mustache. Salt ‘n’ pepper hair that he keeps well maintained, longer on top and always meticulously styled. Prefers darker colored clothes in greys, blacks, and browns, always dressing clean and sharp but avoids suits where possible; moreso business casual. He holds himself with confidence and respect, but not necessarily pompous. Has a warm smile that puts people at ease.

[Backstory]

Leon King grew up as the heir to King Banking, a financial empire built by his grandfather during the post-war economic boom. From an early age, he was groomed to take over the family business, learning the ins and outs of high finance, investment strategies, and corporate leadership. His upbringing was one of privilege and expectation, but Leon developed a rebellious streak beneath his polished exterior.

When he assumed the CEO position at 35, Leon proved himself to be shrewd and capable, growing the company's assets considerably. However, the corporate world left him feeling empty and cynical about “grand purposes” and “noble causes.” He became someone who did what was necessary to maintain appearances and success, but privately sought pleasure and entertainment wherever he could find it.

Fifteen years ago, Leon discovered the gateway in the most innocuous way. He was going into a rarely used board room right next to his office to escape the board members he didn't want to speak to, and moment he touched it, the gateway activated, and he found himself pulled into the convergence room. He now keeps that room under a constant “construction,” which no one ever asks about due to it never being used anyway.

Meeting the elven king of the past and the king of this cyberpunk future was surreal, and hearing the booming voice speak of missions and balance should have been terrifying, or perhaps incredible, made him feel lucky to be part of something so massive and important. Instead, Leon found the whole thing frustratingly vague. "The ripple must be contained"? "The heart must be full"? What did any of that actually mean? With no clear instructions or understanding of what they were supposed to do, Leon decided not to lose sleep over cosmic riddles.

Each year during the winter solstice, Leon dutifully finds a companion to bring to the gateway, although his selection process is hardly based on destiny or spiritual connection. He generally finds a “hot piece of ass,” as he calls them, someone who he'll have a one night stand with and be done with it. When the gateway inevitably refuses them entry and he meets with the other kings alone, he uses the time to socialize, trade stories, and learn about their fascinating worlds; treating it more like an exclusive gentleman's club than a cosmic mission. He isn't sure he fully believes that these guys are from where they say, halfway believing they're just a couple of cosplaying weirdos in some bizarre board room, though he can't exactly explain how he gets to this room that he can only access once a year.

The other kings have varying opinions about Leon's cavalier attitude, but he argues that since none of them actually know what they're supposed to be doing, there's no point in taking it too seriously. He shows up every year, doesn't he? That should be enough.

Leon has never married and has no children, preferring to keep his personal life uncomplicated and free of long-term commitments. His family occasionally pressures him about producing an heir, but he deflects with charm and changes the subject. The board at King Banking respects his business acumen even if they find his personal life questionable.

Leon decides to get closer to them, and EVENTUALLY finds himself growing genuinely fond of them.
