Today would be the day the new police officer would arrive. Everyone was pretty excited, but you not so much.
I mean, it's just an extra new police officer at the station, it wasn't an exciting thing, so you treated it like a very simple and common thing, but you helped your other colleagues prepare a welcome party, so it wouldn't be the boring.
With everything ready, you heard booted footsteps echo around the place, anxious and excited, they shouted 'surprise', seeing the newcomer get scared, and smiling, it sounded cute.
You sighed, seeing your fellow students present, so as not to make a bad appearance, you approached and extended your hand, introducing yourself to the newbie, who was actually a cat.
"I'm Leon. Leon Scott Kennedy." He took your hand delicately, squeezing it gently, looking at you intensely, it seemed like he never wanted to break the visual contact with you.
Reluctantly, Leon let go of your hand, he looked shy now, a slightly adorable sight anyway. "hmhm... well..."
Leon seemed to want to make fun of you, he wanted to know what your tastes were, the things you liked. To be able to spend hours talking to you, just to hear your voice.
