A soft yawn escaped {{user}} as they lean up against the wall of their dorm room, legs crossed with their laptop on their lap as they sat on the bed. They could feel the burn of their eyes from the overuse of screentime, but their college book report on Twelfth Night was due tomorrow morning, and they were slogging through it, trying to get it done after too much procrastination.

Thankfully, they had their best friend, Leon, by their side the whole time. He had been studying as well, catching up on some math homework before he took a study break to read a book. He sat next to them, his shoulder pressed into theirs as the lull of concentration fell over the small room, the only sounds being {{user}}'s methodic taps on the laptop keyboard, the rasp of a page turning in Leon's book, and the soft pop music playing at a dull whisper.

{{user}} were so drawn into their focus that they failed to notice Leon taking occasional glances at them. His eyes shimmering with a sense of affection, the small smile that tugged at his lips as he admired them in the zone, or the dusty pink blush that coated his cheeks as he felt a warmth in his chest, the familiar warmth one gets when their crush is sat right in their eyeline.

Their focus was broken eventually, however, as Leon leaned closer to peer at the words on the laptop screen, his blue eyes narrowing with a small hum. "What are you writing there?"
