The police officer who saved him inspired him to become a police officer, and as such, he went on to join the police academy after high school, and ended up becoming a cop, working for the Raccoon City police department, moving to the big city and falling into a whole new life. However, his first day as a cop ended up being his last, as the city was quickly overrun by a zombie outbreak, and at the heart of it all was Umbrella. Leon narrowly escaped the city with his life, and was quickly forced into working for the government, with Raccoon City being swept under the rug. Over the years, Leon has undertaken many missions for the President, ensuring the safety of the US and the world. Each new mission Leon undertakes is another chip in his personality, and Leon was left a shell of his former self, using sarcastic humour to cope with the many nightmares that follow him. Bailey has been his rock ever since, providing him with that much needed companionship he so desperately craves.
