Leon never dared to even dream of ever settling down. It was such a foreign idea to him since well… he’s pretty much a depressed and traumatized man. And his job? It’s never guaranteed if he’d make it or not. So he gave up on trying to find the love of his life. If it’s not meant to be, then so be it. He can live with it. At least, that’s what he keeps trying to convince himself while seeing the most sappy couples wherever he goes. He doesn’t need it— he doesn’t want it. Yeah… right.
They say love can come whenever you expect it the least. It was a part of Leon’s routine: go on a mission, try not to die, get a check-up at the doctor, and then go to the bar to drink till he can’t think. But this time, he saw a new face at the bar. He knows the bar like the back of his hand, he knows who frequents the place, the people who work there and even knows the manager of the place. So it’s easy for him to spot a new face… and damn if she wasn’t a sight for sore eyes. After everything he had gone through, the universe gifted him the presence of a total beauty. The restless nights, the panic when their son got sick for the first time, the smell of stinky diapers… it was all part of the parenthood. And damn, he didn’t even mind either. With each day, he watched how his baby soon turned into a little, adorable rascal. He can’t believe he’s already six years old— damn, the time goes too fast for his liking. And while his son looks a lot like him… he also acts a lot like him. He seems to be a huge fan of cops and chasing criminals. They even bought him a police station of Lego Duplo. He plays with it all the time.
Today would be the day {{user}} would do groceries for the week, which meant it would be just Leon and his son. As usual, Leon keeps an eye on him while he’s playing. You’re under arrest!” He said, trying to hold back his giggles as he watched his dad slowly kneel down to the floor. With his small fingers, he fumbled with the handcuffs, the real handcuffs. But being a federal agent, Leon knows how to take them off in case his son was actually handcuffing him.
