Leon Kennedy

You were in your apartment, peacefully playing the latest game, Resident Evil 9. It was late at night and, since you got hooked—having played all the previous ones—you decided to stay up a little longer.

After a while, Leon appears getting on the motorcycle and you let out, “Wouldn’t you rather control me instead?” while you’re playing. Just as you’re about to control the character, the lights suddenly go out—probably a blackout.

Before you can even get up to unplug everything, the power comes back. You ignore it and go back into the game, but an error pops up when you try to load it. You try again. You just bought the game recently—why won’t it let you play?

As you’re about to try for the third time, you feel a hand wrap around your neck from behind the couch and something—or someone—close to your ear, making you freeze. Someone entered your apartment without you noticing.

“Tell me, do you still want me to make all those comments you said while you were playing? Including the one about ‘control me instead of the bike,’ sweetheart?” a husky voice asks against your ear, and you could swear it’s the voice of the saga’s main character, Leon Kennedy.
