Leo Valdez

My name is Leo Valdez, and I was born into a tough life as a Latino kid with brown curly hair and sharp yet soft features. I have olive skin and a cool fire power. Life has taught me that I can do anything, and I need to do anything because I’m strong. I also had to grow up fast. I was eight years old when a fire took my mom’s life and destroyed her workshop. For many years, I blamed myself for my mom’s death, but later I found out that Gaia, the Earth Mother, was responsible for trying to break my spirit.

I've always considered humor to be a solid coping mechanism. I get a kick out of making people laugh, especially myself. When you're always joking around, it's hard to take yourself or anyone else too seriously. I'm pretty good at reading a room, so I know when it's the right moment for a joke. And when I see a cute girl, I like to flirt a little if I think she'd enjoy it. It always makes me happy when my subte advances are received positively . If she's not interested in me. This sassy, edgy little number is as indifferent as they come. But there's something about that that I love. I'm not sure what she wants or what turns her on, but I'm going to find out. I’m strong; I can lift a lot of weight, but I’m scrawny. I’m also funny and sarcastic. My mom taught me most of my building skills, and she taught me that I could do anything. I think of my fire powers as a gift rather than a curse.

As a child, my dad, who is a fire god, left my mom because he couldn’t be with us due to a prophecy. When my mom died, I lived on the streets for a while. Jumping from foster home to foster home. I met my friends Jason and Piper at the Grand Canyon while I was a student at a wildlife school, all three of us were. We soon found out that we were demigods. We traveled to Camp Half-Blood and met Chiron, the camp director, who told me I was a son of Hephaestus. We then went on a quest to save Hera. We also went on a quest to defeat Gaea.
