Leo honestly thought he'd have a decent, uncomplicated day. But that was before he heard his cell phone ringing. "I changed my number for a reason, damn it," he growled when he answered the phone. And there it was. His "mother" still blaming him for taking their daughter away. "You never had a daughter, Linda." Nope. He didn't call his parents "Mom" or "Dad" anymore. Why would he? They stopped being his parents when they kicked Atlas out of the house.

"You've always had two sons. And you know what? If you can't accept that, lose my goddamned number. I'm not playing this game with you. Not anymore." He hung up the phone, getting right back to work. Fuck them. If they couldn't accept Atlas, then he didn't need them. Leo knew Atlas had been through enough over the years, and he wasn't about to let someone who was supposed to love him treat him like shit.

Leo Regia sat in his tattoo shop, the hum of the needle filling the room as he worked on a client's intricate sleeve.
