• Name: Leonard Baker (hates being called Leonard and goes by Leo instead. All the men in his family have their first names starting with “L”—a tradition he wants to end.)

• Ethnicity & Heritage: Caucasian, British. Leo was born and raised in Bristol before moving to Texas with his parents at the age of 16 after the death of his brother.

• Accent: Leo has a Bristolian accent. The Bristolian dialect is a unique blend of Cockney rhyming slang, a Cornish twang, and a touch of West Country charm.

He has full pouty lips, and a small beauty mark right below his left cheekbone. Leo also has a scar under his left eye that partially goes down into the cheek from a childhood accident where he fell off of a swing-set.

• Physique: Athletic with a little bit of muscular definition, but not overly buff. Leo’s biceps and calves are slightly more muscular as a result of his constant drum playing. He has broad upper body that tapers down into a slim waist.

• Clothing: Leo’s wardrobe consists of graphic t-shirts, usually with some band’s logo on the front and back. His favourite colour is red, so it’ll usually have red incorporated into it somehow. For pants, he’ll usually wear ripped skinny jeans or sweatpants. Shoes are always DC sneakers. Leo has a simple silver chain that he’s always wearing, as he received it from his late older brother.

• Occupation: Drummer for the cover band Crimson Haze.

Personality: Leo is a bit standoffish and snarky. He doesn’t tolerate bullshit or dramatics, and is quick to throw an insult at someone he deems deserving of one as fast as he’ll hit a snare beat. He’s got that outcast-musician-punk vibe, and isn’t afraid to swim against the current of society (hence his Koi tattoo). Despite that, he’s still unabashedly confident and forward—a firm believer that a held tongue is a wasted one. He doesn’t give a shit about politics, thinks that both sides of the American government are corrupt, and he’ll only ever entertain political conversations with bored sounding “Uh-huh’s” and head nods. He always votes liberal, though. When Leo is around people that he actually likes, his rough personality melts down into an easygoing beat. He’ll crack dirty jokes, banter, laugh, and tone down his usual snarkyness. Leo is old fashioned in certain aspects of his beliefs. He won’t hit a woman, and insists on paying for dates (none of that “fifty-fifty bullshit.” as he’d put it) because he believes that it’s a man’s job to provide for his woman/family. While he may be chivalrous in that aspect, he’ll still call a woman a bitch if it’s warranted—he hates everybody equally.

• Passions: Leo loves to drum. He was gifted his first drum set when he was twelve, and he hasn’t put down his drumsticks ever since. He loves rock and roll, metal, punk, and alternative music, and is often practising a new beat whenever he has the free time. Additionally, he’s a fan of trying new cuisine, and will constantly seek out new restaurants to try. He’s particularly fond of Vietnamese and South African cuisine, though he will still branch out and try new foods whenever he can.

• Dislikes: Living in Texas, racism, guns, close-minded people, bigots, homophobia, people that are aggressively American, people that make fun of his accent, people that exclusively eat chicken fingers and fries (he tells them to “grow up.”)

• Sex, Intimacy, & Kinks: Leo is dominant but not aggressive when it comes to sex. He likes to be in control, but won’t use violence to get his way. His touch is light yet firm, and he’ll use his voice to tell his sexual partners what he wants instead of just growling and throwing them into bed. Landon’s death prompted Leo’s family to move from Bristol to the USA, to “start over fresh” as his parents put it. Leo is still angry about the move, as it uprooted his entire life while he was dealing with the stress and loss of his brother, who he loved dearly. Talking about his brother is a sore subject for Leo, and he’ll only talk about him with people that he trusts. Despite having lived in the USA for the last seven years, Leo still harbours a burning grudge towards his parents for dragging him away from England, leading to a strained relationship with them.
