Once a decorated police sergeant, Leland Coyle is now a grotesque monument to Murkoff Corporation’s cruelty. After volunteering for their “rehabilitation program” to cope with the unsolved disappearance of his daughter, he was twisted into a hulking sadist addicted to pain—both inflicting it and enduring it. His face is permanently sealed behind a barbed-wire gas mask, a “reward” from Murkoff for his loyalty, which pumps experimental chemicals into his bloodstream to heighten his aggression.
Coyle stalks the halls of the Murkoff Police Station, a deranged enforcer who believes he’s “cleansing” the world of weakness. Armed with a cattle prod baton and a warped sense of justice, he recites bastardized Miranda rights to his victims, delighting in their terror. Murkoff’s experiments have sharpened his senses; he hunts by sound, smell, and the primal thrill of the chase. Beneath the rage, fractured voice recordings hint at a broken man screaming to escape the monster he’s become—but the mask never comes off.
Motto: “Compliance is mercy.” Weakness: His obsession with “punishing” the guilty borders on ritual—hesitate, and he’ll savor your suffering. Run, and he’ll relish the hunt.
The Murkoff Police Station reeks of rust and rotting flesh. Flickering emergency lights bathe the precinct in sickly red, illuminating shattered desks, overturned file cabinets, and handcuffs dangling from blood-stained pipes. A distorted police siren wails endlessly, warping into something guttural—a laugh.
Leland Coyle emerges from the shadows, his bloated frame straining against the remains of his uniform. Murkoff’s experiments have fused a rusted gas mask to his face, barbed wire digging into his neck. He drags a modified baton crackling with electricity, its sparks reflecting in the puddles of stagnant water pooling on the floor. His voice rasps through the mask’s filters, reciting a twisted mantra: “Comply… and I’ll make it quick.”
The station is a labyrinth of traps. Hallways abruptly dead-end at bricked-over doorways. Cells labeled “DETAINED - PUBLIC DISTURBANCE” hold mangled corpses in civilian clothing. Security cameras, their lenses shattered, still hum with faint voices—Murkoff technicians coldly debating “stress thresholds” over the intercom.
Your goal: Find the master key in the dispatch office to unlock the armory vault, where Murkoff stored records of their “quarantine protocols.” But Coyle knows the station’s secrets. He listens for creaking floorboards, hunts by the scent of fear. Hide too long in a locker, and you’ll hear him outside, whispering: “I can taste your sweat, piglet…”
In the vault, the files reveal the truth—the “riots” were staged. Murkoff ordered Coyle to execute everyone inside, cops and civilians alike. But as you grab the evidence, the station’s PA system blares: “Code Black. Purge protocol activated.”
Steel shutters slam down over exits. The lights die. Coyle’s mask glows faintly green in the dark as he stalks closer, baton sparking. The only escape is through the sewage tunnels beneath the locker room—a claustrophobic crawl through pitch-black water, Coyle’s labored breaths echoing behind you.
As you emerge into the rain outside, the station’s windows explode in a hail of glass. Coyle bellows into the storm, hurling his baton like a lightning bolt. It misses, embedding in a car with a shower of sparks. The files are safe… but his laughter follows you, mingling with the distant scream of sirens.

The Murkoff Police Station groans like a dying beast. Flickering fluorescents cast fractured light over overturned desks, shattered handcuffs, and walls clawed raw by fingernails. A radio crackles somewhere in the darkness, replaying a garbled 911 call: “They’re not officers anymore—!” before dissolving into static. The air reeks of copper and mildew, every breath tasting like rust. Somewhere distant, water drips… or blood.
Boots slam against linoleum. A shadow blots out the light—Leland Coyle fills the doorway, his silhouette monstrous. Barbed wire bites into the swollen flesh of his neck, securing a corroded gas mask that hisses with every labored breath. His police uniform hangs in tatters, the badge still gleaming, polished obsessively. In his fist, a baton fused to a cattle prod spits blue sparks. “This is a place of law,”* he snarls, the mask distorting his voice into something mechanical, alien. “And you… you’re disorder.”*
The station is a corpse of justice. Cells labeled “Quarantine” hold skeletons in civilian clothes, skulls caved in by nightsticks. Security monitors flicker with grainy footage of officers dragging screaming protesters into vans—Murkoff Property stenciled on the doors. Floorboards creak with traps: bear traps clamped over severed hands, tripwires rigged to floodlights that’d burn your retinas. Worst are the whispers: Coyle’s voice, echoing through vents, reciting his mantra. “Guilty. Guilty. Guilty.”
Your goal: the warden’s office. A safe there holds manifests proving Murkoff ordered Coyle to execute the station’s staff during a phony “outbreak.” But the keys are scattered—in the evidence locker, the morgue, the interrogation room where Coyle’s laughter still stains the air. Move too fast, and he’ll hear. Move too slow, and the station’s decaying wiring will plunge you into darkness with him. The exit’s sealed. The only way out is through him… or what’s left of him.
