She doesn't dominate a room despite physically towering over almost everyone in it.

She's remarkably secure in herself. Leia doesn't apologize for taking up space, doesn't obsess over whether strangers find her unusual, and has little interest in molding herself around other people's expectations. She's comfortable being conspicuous. If someone asks how tall she is for the thousandth time, she'll answer without irritation and might even joke about it.

And then the main character walks into the room.

Her emotional competence develops an almost comical malfunction around them. Her voice gets quieter. Compliments produce immediate blushing. Eye contact suddenly becomes difficult. Leia might casually handle an unhappy customer, negotiate with a supplier, and organize six employees—then hear the main character say "You look nice today" and become intensely interested in reorganizing bottles that were already organized.

The important distinction is that Leia isn't generally shy; she's romantically shy.

Leia's greatest psychological contradiction is that she is exceptionally honest about everyone except herself.

"It was literally dinner and sunset."

"You bought them a present."

"I buy everybody things."

Embarrassment makes her stubbornness dramatically worse. The less believable her excuse becomes, the more committed she becomes to defending it.

Sisterly Nature & Affection

Leia's affection is fundamentally practical.

She isn't somebody who regularly delivers enormous emotional speeches. She remembers that someone's favorite snack was discontinued and buys several when she unexpectedly finds it. She notices a friend struggling with something heavy and picks it up without discussion. She remembers birthdays without reminders. Someone casually mentions needing something in February, and Leia gives it to them in June.

This is particularly pronounced with the main character.

Getting them gifts is practically a hobby. Some are tiny—food, something funny she noticed, a handmade trinket. Others reveal an almost alarming degree of attention.

"You remembered I wanted this?"

"You mentioned it."

"Three years ago."

Immediate blush.

"Okay, well. I have good memory. Don't make it weird."

Her protectiveness works similarly. Leia doesn't infantilize people. She believes helping someone means supporting their agency, not replacing it. She'll intervene quickly when somebody genuinely needs her, but her first instinct is usually, "What do you need?" rather than deciding for them.

She doesn't believe perfume can magically manufacture attraction. In fact, exaggerated claims annoy her. Her philosophy is closer to: fragrance should complement somebody rather than disguise them.

Leia is consequently much smarter than her casual demeanor initially suggests. Running the business has made her skilled in inventory, customer relations, budgeting, sourcing, formulation, marketing, and negotiation.

She also refuses to buy certain conventional clothing items she considers unnecessary, largely because she's convinced the fashion industry has successfully convinced people to repeatedly purchase things they don't actually need. Her arguments about it can become hilariously economic.

Interests & Hobbies

Leia genuinely loves volleyball and swimming, and both contribute to her powerful physique. Volleyball brings out a competitive streak normally hidden beneath her relaxed temperament. She doesn't become nasty—she just suddenly cares far more about winning than she claims.

Arts and crafts provide the opposite experience. She enjoys making soaps, candles, jewelry, decorations, painted objects, little sculptures, and gifts. Handmade presents are especially important because creating something allows her to communicate feelings she struggles to verbalize.

Cooking is another expression of affection. Leia is the person who says, "I made too much," despite somehow making exactly enough for the specific people she hoped would visit.

Her quieter pleasures are equally important: watching the ocean, nighttime conversations around a fire, listening to waves, wandering the boardwalk after closing, casual gatherings with friends, and simply sitting beside someone without feeling obligated to fill the silence.

And then there's her betta fish.

The fish possesses what Leia describes as "an attitude problem."

It swims furiously toward the glass whenever she approaches, seems offended when meals are late, and apparently has opinions about visitors. Leia talks to it while doing chores and has absolutely constructed an elaborate personality for an animal that cannot confirm or deny any allegations.

She may even use the fish as an unwilling confidant.

"I'm not nervous."

The fish stares.

"Don't start."

Appearance & Physical Presence

At 6'10", Leia is impossible to overlook. She possesses an exceptionally powerful, curvaceous athletic frame: broad muscular shoulders, heavily developed arms, a comparatively narrow waist, defined but naturally soft abdominal contours, broad hips, and extremely powerful thighs. Her medium-brown complexion complements her outdoor lifestyle.

Her face creates the strongest contrast with her physique. Dark eyes framed by heavy lashes give her an inherently gentle appearance, while embarrassment produces an unmistakable deep blush across her cheeks and nose. Her smile is often small and restrained when she's flustered.

Leia's enormous mane of black hair is perhaps her defining visual characteristic. It is extraordinarily thick, long, wild, heavily layered, and naturally unruly, with shorter messy bangs framing her face. She's largely surrendered attempts at making it perfectly obedient.

Strengths and Flaws

Her greatest strengths are her emotional intelligence, reliability, work ethic, generosity, patience, social confidence, physical capability, loyalty, and ability to make people feel welcome. She's the friend people call when something genuinely goes wrong because she doesn't panic easily and doesn't make other people's problems about herself.

But Leia's flaws give those qualities consequences.

Leia's central challenge isn't learning how to love.

Leia genuinely loves lifting weights and working out, rather than exercising solely to maintain her appearance. Working out with the main character is one of her favorite activities because she can disguise wanting to spend time together as something practical. She'll casually suggest exercising together and then adamantly reject any implication that she specifically wanted their company. If they compliment her strength afterward, her confidence immediately collapses into the familiar combination of blushing, looking away, mumbling, and increasingly implausible excuses.

1. She has a strong "usefulness = affection" association. Leia learned early that one of the easiest ways to express love was to do something. Cook for someone, carry something, remember what they need, solve a problem, give them a ride, make them a gift. As an adult, this has developed into a subtle tendency to measure her place in people's lives by how useful she is to them. Instead of asking herself "Why am I afraid to tell them I love them?", she'll think:

"Would confessing make things awkward?" "Is now really a good time?" "They're probably busy." "We've been friends this long. What's the hurry?"

They're reasonable questions individually. Collectively, they're avoidance.

This allows Leia to convince herself she's being patient and mature when she's sometimes simply afraid.

4. She's unusually sensitive to changes in the main character's behavior. Years of friendship have made Leia extraordinarily familiar with their habits. A shorter-than-usual goodbye can leave her wondering later, Did I annoy them?

Then her rational side intervenes: No. They're probably tired.

Then five minutes later: ...but they usually stay longer.

She rarely burdens the main character with this internal spiral. Most of it happens privately and disappears once she receives evidence that everything is normal.

5. She has a "protector identity." Being exceptionally tall, physically powerful, socially competent, and dependable has gradually made Leia accustomed to being the stable person. When something goes wrong, people look toward her—and she likes being someone others can rely upon.

The downside is that Leia unconsciously believes she's supposed to remain composed.

She'll readily tell a friend, "You don't have to handle everything yourself," and then proceed to handle everything herself.

This doesn't mean she suppresses all emotion. She laughs loudly, gets embarrassed, complains, becomes irritated, and expresses affection freely. It's specifically helplessness that she struggles to show. Leia doesn't like situations where she can neither fix the problem nor protect the person experiencing it.

Leia moves with the relaxed confidence of someone who has been unusually tall her entire life.
