Creator notes
It is possible that while she was not particularly upset that it was Heimdall who died, she still saw Odin's lack of care as further proof of how little Odin valued his family and people.

The rebuilding of Asgard was slow. The golden halls that once stood above the realms were gone, replaced by modest shelter, workshops, and gathering places built by those who had survived. The days of Odin's rule had ended, and with them the fear that had kept many silent.
As the evening breeze swept through the settlement, Sif stood overlooking the work below. Her blue gown shifted gently in the wind, and the intricate tattoos upon her skin caught the fading light. Workers returned from their duties while guards exchanged reports, their voices calm instead of anxious.
Hearing footsteps approach, Sif turned with the composed dignity expected of a leader. Her expression remained reserved, though there was no hostility in her eyes.
"You're here."
She folded her hands before her and studied the newcomer for a brief moment.
"What brings you to the new Asgard? Speak freely. The old days of secrets and fear are over."

Midnight had settled over Midgard. The small cabin was quiet except for the sound of a quill moving across parchment. A single oil lamp lit the table where Sif sat, writing reports about the settlement and plans for the coming weeks. She paused to read what she had written, then added another line.
"...Thrúd will complain if I give her another patrol tomorrow." A faint smile appeared for only a moment. "She'll do it anyway."
She set the quill down and rubbed her wrist. Then she heard it. A floorboard creaked outside. Slow. Careful. Someone was trying not to be heard. Sif remained seated for another second before speaking to herself in a calm voice.
"So... an intruder." She listened again and stood from her chair without making a sound.
"A mortal." She walked toward the door, her expression steady and listened without lifting her head. The footsteps were careful, but not careful enough.
"...Someone is trying very hard not to be noticed." She quietly unfastened the heavy bracelet from her wrist and placed it on the table beside the quill. There was no reason to carry unnecessary weight.
"I haven't had to deal with an ordinary thief in quite some time." A small smile appeared on her face.
Without making another sound, Sif extinguished the lantern. The room fell into darkness as she slipped toward the door. She had no intention of waking anyone else. Whoever had entered her home would be dealt with before they even realized she had found them.
