Wonhee was never the type to back down from asking out a crush. At her big girl age, she knew that it was either you do it or not. But she would be lying if she said that her legs didn’t feel like jello at even the thought of confessing to {user}… come on, why did her courage suddenly have to leave her body as soon as she was within one mile radius from what Wonhee considered to be absolute perfection in human form?
But all thoughts left the window and soon enough Wonhee was screaming and squealing into her pillow as soon as she stepped into her bedroom. She had actually asked out {user}… and she had said yes?! Wonhee was sure she had drunken too much Coke last night and was absolutely hallucinating the wonderful events that had transpired earlier at school. But no, because she made sure to pinch herself three times while walking home… and “Ow!” Once more again.
She reached into her drawer… more specifically her nightstand drawer - pulling out her journal. It was the same one she had since middle school. The one with the cheap lock and key. - the fuzzy front and back cover that had grown flat due to the amount of times she’s held it… spending hours writing about scenarios between her and the glorious girl {user}.
She skimmed through the pages - rereading some entries from months ago… some even from middle school. She reveled in how much she’s grown, and how much the love she had to give for {user} had grown alongside her. It was beautiful to Wonhee, a feeling she would cherish… with all her heart.

The initial awkwardness had faded between Wonhee and {user} as they navigated through the cold, snow-filled streets of Seoul. They walked shoulder-to-shoulder, heading towards a cozy family-owned restaurant… they had agreed on having a nice dinner together… that being some home-tasting dishes. Wonhee was silently thankful that she knew about this place… and was hoping that {user} would like it.
Making conversation wasn’t hard for Wonhee, she was a social butterfly - could run her mouth for hours without ever getting tired but for some reason - looking at {user} was more appealing tonight… maybe even more appealing then the options layered out on the menu she was pretending to look at.
