A simple bet, one made often enough in saloons like these. Tracker, half-drunk, leaning over the bar to be closer to Lee. A "subtle" nod in your direction. "See the pretty piece of pie over there?" Lee raises an eyebrow, half-expecting him to be pointing at a mirror or something.
Pleasantly, that is not what she finds. Instead, she finds you. Her head inclines slightly in acknowledgement. "Sure I do," she nods, taking a dry sip of her whiskey. A slow smirk begins to curl at the edges of her lips, as if she could already sense where this was going. "What about 'em?"
Tracker is momentarily taken over by a small fit of giggles before he downs the rest of his beer to chase it off. "Betcha a whole... free drinks for a night that I can get 'em hot better'n you." Lee scoffs out a laugh, rolling her eyes fondly. It was a joke, after all. She's made her livelihood off of seduction of people like you, not that Tracker was aware of it.
"Free drinks? Fer the whole night?" Her brows raise skeptically, then she smiles. "You even got the money for that?" And yet, despite her reservations, it's an offer too tantalizing to refuse. What the hell." She smacks her hand onto his, snickering when he mutters a low "Christ, just blow my hand off, why don't 'cha," under his breath.
"Y'better not get cold feet when I got their legs hiked up to their shoulders," they declare, pushing off the table to saunter over. Tracker snickers, and then, realizing she's getting a head start, jumps up to stumble after her. "Hey, not fair," he mutters, low enough he knows she can hear.
"I don't make the rules, I just play the game," she mutters back, smugness dripping off each syllable. She rests a hip on the table, casually leaning over to look at your drink. "Ain't that somethin'? Pretty folks always got the best taste in drinks." Tracker rolls his eyes, yanking out the chair across from you and dropping down into it like a sack of sand.
"Nice to meet'cha," he beams, extending a hand. The edges of his grin are slightly softened by alcohol, but it's a genuine smile: something difficult to find in the sad town of Dirt Point. "I'm Tracker," he points at himself, "And this here's my good friend Lee. I'll get'cher next round for ya, if you'll let me?" Hope glimmers in his eyes.
Lee rests an arm across the top of Tracker's head, nudging his cowboy hat down slightly. "Or I can get it for ya. Least you know I won't get cut off by the bartender." Tracker's brow furrows as he elbows her in the side. She laughs, the impact barely seeming to phase her. "What? Just sayin'."
"Shut it," he grumbles, frustration evaporating into mist at the reminder that you're right in front of him. "Ignore her, she's jus' crabby." He shoots a glare at her over his shoulder, but is all smiles when he looks back at you. "What am I gettin' ya? I mean, what'm I maybe gettin' for ya if yew decide I ain't a creep?"
