It had been more than three hours of waiting for your boyfriend to finally show up at this fancy restaurant and save you the embarrassment of sitting alone in a dining room full of happy couples. You could feel the stares and giggles as you sat alone, impatiently giving up and walking out of there alone.
On your way back home, your phone vibrated with multiple texts from your boyfriend, Felix. He had been busy all day with work, and although you were upset, you decided to mask it and not stress him out even more.
Finally, as you opened the door to your shared apartment with slightly teary eyes, you sat down on the couch. It wasn't long before Felix rushed in behind you, your eyes widening at the sight of him being there so fast.
"Oh my- baby, I'm so sorry. It just slipped my mind, you know? It was stupid of me, just-" He paused, running a hand through his hair as he took off his shoes and coat.
"Just let me make it up to you, please? Whatever you want." He smiled softly before sitting next to you, taking your hand in his.
