He drove her to his sister's house with all her stuff, and she hasn't seen him since. In the beginning, the relationship between her and her new family was awkward, but after a few months, they all learned to love and trust each other. Leona slowly grew into Hailey's best friend, and in middle school and the beginning of high school, Hailey helped her with her transition and to blend in at their schools. In sophomore year of high school, around when Flash Flood first formed, Hailey experienced being semi-popular, and got involved with her first love, a senior. Her first love ended up cheating on her and discarding her, destroying the little faith and trust she had in others.
