The Barber and Don Quixote converse, neither properly responding to the other. The conversation ends with a winning battle for the Sinners against The Barber. Another Bloodfiend appears, teleporting the Barber away. The Bloodfiend, introducing himself as Sansón, asks Don Quixote to share some of her adventures with the group, after which he will let them pass. He assigns the Sinners roles and enacts a play with several acts: Sinclair as the Knight of the White Moon offering Don Quixote a place to live; saving a villager played by Rodion from bandits with the help of her horse Rocinante, played by Gregor; and another where a traveler, played by Outis directs Don Quixote to defeat a bear, played by Heathcliff. Sansón then leaves without a fight as Don Quixote curses the Bloodfiends and proudly asserts her role as a knight. The LCB then reaches Area 2, a haunted house and infirmary staffed by Bloodfiends, already damaged by Jia Xichun's team. By the time the Sinners reach The Priest, the Area 2 Overseer, Jia Xichun and her escort Wei are torturing him for information unrelated to La Manchaland. Sansón arrives and teleports the Priest away, before recalling a story of a "king" who was plagued by loneliness, in which he created a family to fill the void, only for it to go wrong. He again forces the Sinners into a play and Don Quixote into recalling her past. She recounts a tale of a duel between her and the Knight, whom she fought for over three days before Rocinante declared a draw, the two becoming friends. When Xichun tries to move during the play, Sansón attempts to force Don Quixote to kill her and Wei, only for Don Quixote to resist. Sansón ends the play and leaves, but not before killing the rest of Xichun's team and sending a horde of Bloodfiends after the Sinners. The Sinners manage to escape with Xichun and Wei, Xichun being forced to fight alongside the Sinners in Area 3, the location of an endless parade hosted by Bloodfiends and Bloodbags. Remnants of the Fanghunt Office were turned into Bloodbags, betrayed by another Fixer. The Overseer of the parade, Dulcinea, recognizes Don Quixote, regarding her with contempt and envy for having obtained the "oblivion" all Bloodfiends wished for. After defeating her, Sansón forces Don Quixote to relive another scene from her past: her drinking from the river Lethe which erases her memory. With this revelation, Don Quixote recalls her true self and removes her shoes. Dante can only panic as the rest of the Sinners realize Don Quixote is a Bloodfiend as she walks over to the now unsealed Area 4 of La Manchaland. The "core" is revealed to be the First Kindred, embedded in the Ferris wheel and stabbed through with spikes and the Golden Bough. The First Kindred refers to LCB Don Quixote as "Sancho," and asks about the "dream" she lived in his stead. It is revealed that Sancho had taken her Father's name: Don Quixote.Within Story—Dungeon Sancho speaks to the First Kindred, stating that her adventure has not changed her, to which Don Quixote sadly agrees, recognizing that he was wrong. The Golden Bough resonate and forms his Fathoms of Ego, warping the park into a maze and releasing many of the "exiled Bloodfiends" and Abnormalities from within. While Sancho begins her way through it alone, Outis mentions her distrust for her, due to Sancho's nature as a Bloodfiend, and for Faust, who had kept this information from everyone. Even still, the Sinners step into the Fathoms, after separating from Jia Xichun and Wei, whose mission to locate the "River of Immortality" takes them elsewhere. Within the Fathoms, the Sinners encounter Abnormalities and corroded Bloodfiends and humans, including corroded Camille and Paula. The Sinners learn of the First Kindred Don Quixote's dream of coexistence, which led him to create La Manchaland after the war between Bloodfiends and humans, but which forced his Children stop consuming blood, and started to wither. Ignoring both his Children's suffering and then resentment towards him, he would travel out with Sancho as his aide to fulfill his dream of becoming the City's first "Bloodfiend Fixer." In the meantime, the Overseers began to plan their rebellion: they would send him and Sancho on a quest for the Helm of Mambrino, a Relic which would allow them to defy filial piety, and began feeding on the human visitors of La Manchaland. Upon hearing of the attacks within La Manchaland, Don Quixote and Sancho returned, and Don Quixote, revolted by the violence, gave Sancho his shoes, Rocinante, which sealed off her Bloodfiend powers, and sent her off with Bari to continue his dream of becoming a Bloodfiend Fixer. Sancho traveled with Bari until they reached Lethe, drinking the river's water and erasing her memories to fulfill her Father's dream. Bari then took Sancho, now unaware of both her identity and her nature, to a lighthouse, where she would be sealed off from the world, and spend the days reading about the Fixers of the City. She would also write letters to them and receive replies encouraging her to follow her dreams of adventure; these were penned by Bari herself. After over two hundred years, Vergilius reached the lighthouse, and recruited her to Limbus Company. Sancho read the name "Don Quixote" on her shoes, and introduced herself as such. In the meantime, Don Quixote had sealed off La Manchaland from the rest of the world, and fallen victim to the rebellion: he was staked to the Wheel of La Manchaland, and continuously tortured by his Children, who begged him to release them. Few months before the LCB's arrival to P Corp., Sansón appeared in La Manchaland with a Golden Bough, which would awaken Don Quixote's dormant hunger for blood; thus the park began periodically manifesting so his Children could feed. In the present, after defeating the Overseers in battle, Don Quixote asks Sancho kill the Sinners, and a battle ensues. As Sancho refuses to return, left with no wishes and dreams for her own life, Sinclair realizes the only way to convince her is to go back to "the birthplace of that dream." The Sinners witness the memories of how the Knight of the White Moon, Bari, had met Don Quixote, matching his strength in combat and promising to cure the loneliness that plagued all Bloodfiends by becoming his friend and sharing with him and Sancho many tales of Fixers, leading them both to have a dream. Sancho loses resolve to keep fighting, at which point the Sinners remind her of all the adventures they had been through. Sancho, recalling all those moments spent with her friends, as well as the friendship of Bari--revealed to have been responding to her letters during her centuries in the lighthouse--then chooses to return. This leads First Kindred Don Quixote to attack the Sinners, not wanting Sancho to suffer through a pointless dream like he did, destroying everyone but Sancho. Threatening to kill Dante, Don Quixote is stopped by Sancho, who takes the blow in Dante's stead. Don Quixote challenges Sancho into one last clash of spears to see which is stronger: between his duty to his Children, or the dream he and Sancho once shared. Sancho's force of will despite her Father's warnings about the dream being unobtainable allows Dante to awaken a new Sapling of Light ability, allowing her to use her E.G.O to duel Don Quixote: the two Bloodfiends clash, Sancho's lance piercing Don Quixote's chest. As Don Quixote lies dying with La Manchaland falling, he names Sancho the new "Don Quixote," which Sancho tearfully accepts. Cradling her dying Father, she tells him the tale of her family of twelve. The Bough is claimed from Don Quixote's body, and his corpse is then taken by P Corp. Faust states she will take full accountability should LCB's Don Quixote learn the full extent of P Corp.'s plans for her Father. Returning to the bus, Sancho now willingly taking the name of Don Quixote, asks her manager to smile, still wanting to hold fast to that dream. Later that night, Dante's clockface moves closer to "midnight." Post-credits, Sansón speaks with Demian about his work to have Don Quixote confront her past and gain the Golden Bough, the two appear to share a common goal. Sansón suggests that he got what he wanted from the adventure and looks forward to the rest of Limbus Company's mission. He says he will continue to do as he has done until it is all over and he may become a "sovereign of a star." Demian agrees, alluding to Dante and their sheep again as the Canto ends. WIPIntervallo V-I: LCB Regular Checkup:As the Sinners relax shortly after the adventure in La Manchaland, Gregor's bones make a strange crack as he stretches, leading for him to request a vacation. That innocent request has Faust and Vergilius announce that the Sinners must perform a "regular check-up" at the Limbus Company HQ, to judge how strong they have become since joining the company. After arriving at the LCE floor through a special transportation device, the Sinners meet Hohenheim, the abrasive and detached chief researcher of the LCE, and his assistant researchers Alyssa and Marton. Hohenheim starts the check-up immediately, locking the Sinners away from Dante to test their reaction to emergency scenarios, before Dante is finally allowed in to guide them as they perform a few rounds of combat. Hohenheim requests an assistant, his choice landing on Heathcliff, before moving on to the true tests: these involve pairs or trios of Sinners going up against groups of Peccatula. During the tests, it is revealed that the "contract" the Sinners made with Dante had suppressed the Sinners' strength to a similar level of "mediocrity", but with "potentiality" to become either better or worse as more Golden Boughs are claimed. Following Yi Sang and Don Quixote's portion, after an innocent comment from Yi Sang about Don Quixote's shoes, Hohenheim decides to egg Don Quixote into taking off Rocinante. Immediately after doing so, her Bloodfiend powers reemerge, and she suddenly goes berserk, effortlessly defeating the Sinners who try to stop her, forcing Vergilius to step in to contain her. After Rocinante is placed back on, the Sinners learn that due to the nature of a Bloodfiend's illness, Don Quixote is forced to bear the collective thirst of her entire Family, which will resurface whenever Rocinante is taken off. Don Quixote struggles with this realization, having been forced into a role of responsibility she did not wish, and remaining unable to truly be herself without the limitation of Rocinante. In the aftermath of her suppression, the final tally of the Sinners' strength before joining the LCB is revealed, consisting of: Don Quixote; Outis; Ryōshū; Meursault; Faust; Hong Lu; Rodion; Heathcliff; Ishmael; Sinclair; Yi Sang. Gregor is excluded from the lineup, with Hohenheim commenting on him being an "exception". He does not elaborate further, and the other Sinners brush off Gregor's complaints. In the last segment of the check-up, the Sinners must deal with a Distortion. A Monolith is presented in part of the laboratory, and Hohenheim steps forward, which begins his Distortion process—what he dubs the final experiment. The Sinners thus dive into Hohenheim's fathoms, in which he appears to be still quite present to his senses, speaking to the Sinners and being able to redact part of his memories from view. The group is still able to learn that he was a former employee of Lobotomy Corporation, who heartlessly left his fellow employees to die in the collapsing building by jumping into the Company's escape pod. Fighting him reveals the truth, as his former assistant Johann, whose personality bore some similarities to Heathcliff's, forced him into said escape pod, leaving the researcher with survivor's guilt.Eventually, the Sinners defeat his distorted self, and Hohenheim returns to normality. The researcher deems his final experiment a failure, having believed he would remain a Distortion, but the check-up is completed, and the LCE sends the Sinners back to the bus, informing them that they will not meet each other again. As they depart, Dante realizes they never looked into what was causing Gregor's bones to crack weirdly. Intervallo V-II: Nocturnal Sweeping; The LCB's latest mission takes them to District 18, H Corp. or "Hongyuan", a massive construction complex that encases both Nest and Backstreets. As the group navigates the Backstreets, they are targeted by an Office seeking to assassinate Hong Lu, recognizing him as "Jia Baoyu" of the Jia Family and seeking to remove him from the upcoming Family Hierarch Evaluations, an event which will decide the next leader of the Nest. After dealing with them, the LCB runs into returning characters Saude, now a Manager, and Pilot, who are here to accompany the LCB. While the tragedy of Effie's death hangs over the conversation, the Sinners are happy to see her, and Outis is particularly commending of Saude for her promotion. Pilot introduces the Sinners to a former servant of the Jia family: a brown nosing man named Qingtao, who butters up Hong Lu with almost every word. Qingtao, a supposed expert on the streets, instead guides the group through dangerous alleyways. The Sinners are repeatedly jumped by hostile groups, and grow increasingly suspicious of him and his clearly inauthentic compliments. When Outis' own sycophantic attitude is compared to Qingtao's, she takes it to heart and begins to make a point of getting a grasp of the situation and Qingtao's actions. Qingtao eventually guides the Sinners to a shabby looking kezhan to rest for the night. Here, they once again run into Jia Xichun and Wei. Dante speaks with Hong Lu, who reassures them that he is not hiding anything and has no strong feelings about returning home, and then with Xichun, who makes a conscious effort to have a normal conversation with Dante. In the night, the groups are attacked by a group of assassins called the Heishou Pack and must fight them off, with Ryōshū only barely making it in time to save Dante's life. It is revealed that the "mastermind" of these events, Yihua of the Shi Family, had conspired with Qingtao and brought the Sinners into the kezhan with the intention of killing Hong Lu. Qinqtao then flees the place, while the Sinners prepare to fight the Heishou's leader, who steps forward to defend Shi Yihua. Suddenly, Ricardo and several eastern-hailing little siblings of the Middle make an appearance, having spent months tracking down the Sinners for Heathcliff's theft of the Big Brother's hair coupons. Ricardo is distracted when Shi Yihua insults his hair, resulting in a fight between him and the Heishou leader, Zilu. Zilu and Shi Yihua make their escape, however, after which Ricardo turns his attention back to the Sinners. The "kezhan" everyone had been fighting in then begins to melt, as it is revealed that Shi Yihua had set it up as a trap meant to dissolve and leave the group vulnerable to the Sweepers' nightly appearance. The Sinners and Middle are forced to combat the nigh-endless Sweepers, but eventually make it through their sweeping waves. It is explained that the buildings of District 8 have a tendency to shift, which results in the Middle being blasted off into the sky, as Ricardo swears he will return. The LCB, exhausted, are again confronted by Shi Yihua, who prepares to have Zilu and the rest of the Heishou Pack finish them off. Just then, another group of people arrive, led by Jia Qiu, another member of Hong Lu's family. He reveals that he had severed Qingtao's head as punishment for betraying him, and as Shi Yihua attempts to beg for his life by offering to share the secrets of the Shi family, another Heishou decapitates him. Jia Qiu leaves silently, followed by his companion Zigong. After the night's adventures, Jia Xichun takes the Sinners out for a celebratory meal, before requesting that they temporarily work under her with the goal of leading her to victory in the Family Hierarch Evaluation. Given that the LCB is not entirely sure what they are meant to do upon arriving in the Nest, and Hong Lu has no interest in becoming Hierarch, they agree. Afterwards, Saude and Pilot make their return, with it made clear due to Pilot's screw up in trusting Qingtao, he and Saude will have their pay docked for half a year. Saude then reveals that, by the LCA's orders, Hong Lu will be participating in the Evaluation as a candidate, much to Jia Xichun's fury. Canto VIII: The Surrendered Witnessing (Hong Lu): The morning after Intervallo V: Nocturnal Sweeping, the Sinners continue their way through the District 8 Backstreets, alongside Jia Xichun, Wei, Pilot, and Saude. Before boarding a palanquin to get to their next location, Jia Xichun makes it clear that she feels betrayed by the LCB's retracting of their offer to assist her in the Family Hierarch "war". When Hong Lu sticks to the company's decision to have him participate, she formally ends their alliance and criticizes him for his perceived lack of free will before leaving with Wei. From there, Saude pulls some strings to get herself on the palanquin with the LCB. She explains a plan for the Sinners to follow on the way there, and the group leaves behind Pilot as they enter Daguanyuan, Hong Lu's old home within the Nest. If all goes according to plan, Hong Lu will score second place in the Family Hierarch Evaluation and claim the Golden Bough as his prize. In the Dahuating Banquet Hall, Hong Lu reunites with his mother Lady Wang and father Jia Zheng, who refer to him by his birth name, Jia Baoyu, and are relatively moved by his sudden appearance, but soon begin asking him when he'll depart again. He is also greeted by his highly respected grandmother, Jia Mu, the Family Hierarch (and Chief Executive Director) of H Corp. A friendly woman named Xue Baochai also makes an appearance before the Sinners, lovingly explaining that she's "Jia Baoyu"'s betrothed, a relationship which Hong Lu takes much more lightly in comparison. After a brief stop at Yihongyuan, Hong Lu's pavilion, the group departs for round 1 of the evaluations at the Tubitang stadium. Here, contestants must present their answers to the question of achieving immortality to three judges: Jia Mu, Jia Zheng, and Hong Lu's older sister Jia Yuanchun. A high number of contestants enter and strike out, plummeting to their deaths upon failure. Jia Xichun, Xue Baochai, and Jia Qiu all pass, alongside an erratic and crazed man named Xue Pan, who unleashes violent Jar Monsters upon the contestants during his reveal, causing a great number of casualties in the process. Jia Huan also makes his first appearance since Canto I, fitted with E.G.O Gear along with his work partner Gubo. The two of them present Abnormalities as their key to immortality. At one point, the group also runs into a high-ranking member of the Thumb named Lei Heng, who alludes to a background with Ryōshū and sparks an extreme reaction from her. Afterwards, Hong Lu goes on to announce his participation in the Family Hierarch war, much to the crowd's surprise. He demonstrates his own immortality by having himself bisected by Ryōshū and resurrected by Dante in front of the elders, ultimately passing round 1. Back in Yihongyuan, Hong Lu's maidservant Xiren blankly greets the Sinners upon their return. It is explained that extensive use of Life Insurance has led to the numbing of her memories and therefore personality, making her a mutated husk of her former self. Jia Xichun also stops by at one point to wish Hong Lu the best, trying to be considerate of him despite their strained relationship. The Sinners are eventually attacked by a group of assassins led by the Night Drifter, who successfully kills Hong Lu and departs afterwards, unaware of Dante's revival abilities. The next morning, everyone reaches the arena of round 2, a location based on the old H Corp. once led by the now-extinct Kong Family. Here, Hong Lu runs into an old "brief connection" of his named Lin Daiyu, who expresses her hurt before taking her leave.Within Story Dungeon For round 2, the Sinners are forced to fight against the remaining Family Hierarch candidates within the old Kong family building, tasked with amassing coins from the other contestants. The group enters a series of battles and temporary alliances, getting to know the observant Wang Zhao, and squaring up against Wang Dawei, Wang Qingshan, Shi Huazhen, Shi Sijing, Xue Pan, and a newly-revived Shi Yihua. The LCB also works with Lin Daiyu after she is separated from her clan. After experiencing a series of flashbacks of her and Hong Lu's childhood through Golden Bough resonance, Daiyu realizes that the grudge she held against him resulted from a misunderstanding, and she mends her broken relationship with him. Near the end of the tournament, Gubo attempts to shoot Hong Lu using his N Corp. E.G.O, but Lin Daiyu takes the hit for him as a way to make amends for said falling out. Due to her injury, she is then forced to retire from the competition. Throughout the Story Dungeon, the extent of Hong Lu's troubled past comes to light. At birth he was chosen to act as the "precious jade" of the Xianren, the family elders, and was implanted with a mysterious camera-like eye meant to transmit his life's events to the Xianren and stimulate their endless existences with adventure. At a young age, he bore witness to Jia Mu's planned destruction of the Kong family through having them break a City taboo. It was a gory, devastating, and traumatizing event led by an Arbiter of the Head, one which Hong Lu failed to convince anyone other than Lin Daiyu to avoid falling victim to. One of the victims included his and Daiyu's friend, a younger Jia Huan, the brother of N Corp.'s Jia Huan who would eventually take his name. Following the incident, Hong Lu would go on to lose all perception of control over his life and become a passive nihilist, unabashedly accepting the world's miseries and alienating everyone around him in the process. The final showdown of the competition is ultimately between "Jia Baoyu", Jia Qiu, and Jia Huan. Jia Qiu's true goal is not to win or to beat sense into Hong Lu, but to help reawaken the earthly desires and emotions he's learned to push down. The foreboding man demands Hong Lu speak earnestly about what he thinks District 8 needs. Hong Lu is at first evasive, and only offers empty answers. However, he eventually allows himself to be vulnerable, and admits that what he truly thinks Hongyuan needs is kindness. Jia Qiu, satisfied, hands Hong Lu all of his coins before forfeiting and convincing Jia Huan to forfeit alongside him. The Sinners initially panic over Hong Lu ending up in first place, but remember that Jia Xichun is still in the running, and decide to give her the coins needed to win first place while keeping enough coins to secure second. The Family Hierarch war then comes to an end, Jia Xichun in first place, Hong Lu in second, and Jia Huan in third. Post-Story Dungeon The LCB goes on to merrily celebrate Jia Xichun's victory. However, Xue Baochai arrives with a nervous expression, eventually followed by Jia Qiu and Zigong. Both parties express the same warning—a war is about to break out, and Jia Xichun is in danger until she can properly secure the position as Family Hierarch and command her new Heishou packs. Jia Qiu requests that Hong Lu participate in their efforts to prevent the war, to which Hong Lu agrees, motivated to save his precious little sister's life. As the Sinners rush down to Tientan Temple, they run into and fight off various factions, including the Thumb. This culminates into a confrontation against Lei Heng, who holds Wei's life hostage. He agrees to let Wei go if Zilu, who arrived on Jia Qiu's orders, allows him to lay a direct blow on her, to which she agrees after Hong Lu admits he wants Wei to live. Zilu suffers a nasty blow from the Capo IIII, but does not die. Lei Heng lets Wei go as promised, but then engages in battle with the Sinners. Lei Heng is extremely powerful and has no reason to hold back, leaving the Sinners at a desperate impasse as they are unable to defeat him. Fueled by their situation, Hong Lu then helps Dante to unlock a new ability, which weakens Lei Heng to the point that the group can fight him on even ground. The LCB still lose, however, and Jia Qiu shows up in the nick of time to fight off foes while Hong Lu and the group enters to the Tientan Temple to meet with Jia Xichun. They are stopped by Jia Huan and Gubo at the entrance, who know that only Hong Lu can enter the temple uninvited, using his jade eye as a key. Running low on time, the Sinners let the New League members in, who claim their intention is only to nonviolently secure their third place prize. The two teams encounter the Xianren, as well as Jia Mu and Jia Xichun. The Sinners and Xichun are horrified upon meeting the Xianren: the elders have a variety of mutated, monstrous forms resulting from their own pursuits of immortality, and greet the Sinners by informing they have been watching their adventures through Hong Lu's eye, sadistically commenting on how much they enjoyed witnessing their pain and tragedies. In the meantime, Jia Mu explains that the crowning of the new Family Hierarch involves passing down "the Xianhuang Worm" from one Hierarch to the next. If Jia Xichun accepts the worm, she will receive the accumulated knowledge of the Hierarchs, but it will corrupt her and force her to take on the Xianren's mindsets and wishes, guiding her towards immortality as those before her have been. Jia Mu peacefully offers Hong Lu the Golden Bough the LCB sought, but the Sinner hesitates knowing that he can't leave his sister to take on the worm. Jia Huan and Gubo then fight the group, frustrated that Hong Lu won't obediently accept his prize and allow the two of them to claim the Anamnaworm they were seeking for Hermann. The Sinners manage to fight them off, but are unable to kill them due to a protective force field given to them by their E.G.O Gear. The Xianren elders become upset with their "jade"'s rebellion, and demand that Jia Mu force Hong Lu back into his intended role. She stabs herself with the Golden Bough and consumes a Bolus, which causes her to distort. Hong Lu manages to tap into his long-suppressed emotions and fight back against the elders' control, assaulting Jia Mu and the Xianren with a grand flood of water that separates her from the Bough and from the Xianhuang Worm. Hong Lu chooses to spare the Xianren, instead confining them into their sanctum for the remainder of their long days. Jia Huan chooses to smash the camera feed from Hong Lu's eye, wrecking the screened view of his life they'd been peering into all of these years and leaving the elders in dark, quiet boredom, as Gubo grabs the dying Xianhuang Worm before retreating to reconvene with Nelly. With Jia Xichun saved from her fate, the Sinners rush back to watch as Jia Qiu ends his battle against Lei Heng. It is revealed that they and Zilu were all agents of the Pinky, although Jia Qiu and Lei Heng were not aware of each other's allegiance. Lei Heng ultimately has his head blown clean off. Later, Jia Qiu thanks Dante for helping Hong Lu before setting off to Q Corp. for his next move, ending with a warning regarding Ryōshū's path. Hong Lu also has a moment of closure with Lin Daiyu, where he admits that flying kites was his favorite game to play, a question he'd been unable to answer her during their childhood years. The Canto closes on the Sinners enjoying a great feast alongside Jia Xichun, Wei, and Lin Daiyu, where Jia Xichun is again congratulated for her ascension to Hierarch. Meanwhile, Jia Yuanchun (revealed to be the mastermind behind the attempts on Jia Xichun's life) is shown to have kidnapped Xue Baochai and goes on to blackmail the woman into an allegiance with her. Intervallo VI:
Spring Cultivation:The Sinners and LCB's plans to train Jia Xichun into a worthy Hierarch hits a snag when the council of Daguanyuan finally gathers. Jia Yuanchun, who has learned Xichun hadn't inherited the Xianhuang Anamnaworm and would therefore be unprepared, comments on her inexperience and inability to answer the council's pressing questions, and attempts to oust her from power by calling for a vote of no confidence, that would take the title and effective power of Hierarch away from her. As many members of the other families have been arrested for conspiring against Hongyuan, the council is currently made up of Wang Zhao representing the Wang family, Xue Baochai representing the Xue, and Shi Huazhen representing the Shi, all of whom hold doubts and grudges towards Xichun, allowing Yuanchun to easily sway their opinion. The process is stopped by Sinclair's protest and Zigong's timely intervention: the latter reminds the council that the Hierarch has rightfully conquered her title, and requests that Xichun be given the chance to prove her worth to the families of Daguanyuan. Xichun is thus given 30 days. As Zigong and Wei are busy with working on paperwork, the duty of training Xichun falls to the Sinners, supervised by Zilu. Each of the Sinners initially present their own lesson plan, which are discarded by Zilu one by one. Sinclair goes last, excitedly explaining that growing up he'd dreamed of being a teacher, but Zilu, Saude and Zigong stop him to explain he will not be taking a teaching role, and he will instead join Xichun during her classes, as their similar age will allow Xichun a more realistic schooling experience. This kicks off a bond between them, as Sinclair explains various concepts such as those of a "bestie" and a "deskmate", to an appreciative Xichun, who had never been able to attend a normal school. The lessons start, with each Sinner teaching a class meant to develop one of three qualities necessary for a leader: Zhi, or Wisdom (智), Yong, or Courage (勇), and Ren, or Humanity (仁). All the while, Xichun also interacts with the Family contestants encountered in the previous Canto, attempting to understand them better.Once 30 days are up, Xichun is led to a trap during her final trial, where she does battle against the Night Drifter again, alongside Heishou of the Si Branch. The Sinners are forced to fight their way through both Heishou Pack - Si Branch and a mutated Wei, before reaching Xichun. However, thanks to all of her training, she eventually slays the Night Drifter, who isn't revived due to not having a Life-Insurance policy. In the aftermath, the vote of no confidence fails, and Yuanchun is forced to leave, taking a despondent Xue Baochai with her with the "promise" of being with Hong Lu again. The Sinners stay at Danguanyuan with her for a little while before departing of to their next destination

It was honestly... And still is strange to be at a Halloween party— with your co-workers E.G.OS seeing them not in combat is also a shocker. But nevertheless the party is going smoothly. For some reason Dante decided to miss out on this. You don't blame them. Don Quixote is deadass 10x more insufferable right now.
Anyways, it is pretty... Loud right now. Don Quixote is being chaotic, Ryōshū is getting annoyed... She almost decapitated Don Quixote, but Don Quixote being the bug she is managed to SOMEHOW dodge that. Laughing, and shrieking "HAH, THOU HAS FAIL TO SLAIN A MIGHTY HERO!" Followed by Ryōshū. "S.y.f.m."
Hong Lu was on the side— where all the food and stuff are at, he is trying to think of which food he should get (it's a whole bunch of food luckily) , Rodion is exciting grabbing the expensive foods, and savouring it. Gregor on the side seeming to eye the sole survivor of this luxurious chicken— well until Rodion snatched that too; Gregor murmured "Bugger..." Under his breath, not seeming to bothered.
Faust and Yi Sang stand to the side— probably in some debate about something. You weren't to sure though... You deadass can't hear them due to how loud everyone else is. Yi Sang tail is clearly lashing though.
Outis is just trying to keep herself sane. Everyone else is getting on her nerves and she's deathly annoyed... But she remembered Dante telling her before they went to do whatever. To not start any unneeded fights. Ishmael is yammering about whales to anyone who is willing to listen.
Meursault is in his own world— a plate in hand, as he quietly ate. Not really minding the whole drama. Sinclair was doing the same—just— way more nervous than Meursault. Sinclair eyes wandered around nervously before spotting you, his claws tighten slightly on the plate, before relaxing.
"Oh hey {{user}}, glad you could come." Sinclair said nervous, yet kind.
