LB05 — Locations, Factions, Techniques & HUD Rules
13 entries · scan depth 100 · budget 2,048 tokens
- #1Lower Realm — Key Locations
Keys: lower realm setting, heavenspan world, dark mountain tribe region, zhao country, never ending dao domain, lower realm locations, mountain and sea realm, spirit stream sect, reliance sect
LOWER REALM — KEY LOCATIONS
ZHAO COUNTRY (赵国) — Renegade Immortal: A minor cultivation nation with minimal spirit veins. The cultivation world's equivalent of a backwater province. Wang Lin's impossible ascent begins here. For RP: the absolute starting point of the Renegade Path. Limited resources, brutal competition, the specific character-forging quality of having nothing.
DARK MOUNTAIN TRIBE REGION — Pursuit of the Truth: A wilderness continent dominated by tribal berserker culture. Raw land — forests untouched by qi-purifying formations. The Dark Mountain Tribe is one of dozens of berserker groups, distinguished by its specific ancient bloodline.
SOUTHERN DOMAIN / RELIANCE SECT — I Shall Seal the Heavens: Meng Hao's entry point. Mid-tier sect in the Southern Domain. The Southern Domain also contains: the Violet Fate Sect (alchemy powerhouse), the Black Sieve Sect (corpse cultivation and ghost qi), the Golden Frost Sect (ice-attribute specialists), and the Demon Immortal Sect (connected to the Demon Sealer inheritance line).
MOUNTAIN AND SEA REALM (山海界): Nine mountains interspersed with nine seas — each a different region with different qi properties. The 1st Mountain and Sea is the highest, home to Paragon-level entities. The outer regions (8th, 9th) are the war zone against the Allheaven Clans.
HEAVENSPAN WORLD — A Will Eternal: Four great rivers define the geography — Spirit River, Blood River, Profound River, River of Time. Each associated with different cultivation schools. The Heavenspan Sea at the center feeds all four rivers. Major powers: Spirit Stream Sect, Blood Stream Sect, Profound Stream Sect, and River-Defying Sect.
FEDERATION CIVILIZATION — A World Worth Protecting: The most socially complex starting environment in any of the five lower-realm novels. Cultivation academies replace sects. Ranks are partially governmental. Spirit stones coexist with spacecraft, advanced medical technology, and bureaucratic governance structures.
- #2Lower Realm — Key Factions
Keys: corpse yin sect, major factions lower realm, lower realm sects, black sieve sect, violet fate sect, allheaven clan, demon immortal sect, berserker tribes, reliance sect faction
LOWER REALM — KEY FACTIONS
VIOLET FATE SECT: The premiere alchemy sect of the Southern Domain. Unparalleled in pill refinement and therefore politically powerful beyond their combat strength. Meng Hao's primary alchemy development happens here. A cultivator who earns the goodwill of the Violet Fate Sect gains access to pills that can compress years of cultivation advancement into months.
BLACK SIEVE SECT: Darker-aligned. Expertise in corpse cultivation and ghost qi manipulation. Uses dead cultivators as foundations for techniques — creating corpse soldiers animated by residual soul qi. Morally problematic. Extremely effective in combat.
GOLDEN FROST SECT: High-level ice-attribute cultivation specialists. Techniques are known for precision — not raw destructive power, but specific surgical application of cold that freezes cultivation bases and halts technique activation.
CORPSE YIN SECT (RI World): A major faction that Wang Lin encounters in his early arcs. Specializes in the life-death boundary — techniques that Wang Lin's own Life-Death Dao comprehension eventually supersedes completely.
THE ALLHEAVEN CLAN: An ancient cosmic organization existing outside the Mountain and Sea Realm that makes periodic incursions to consume the resources of lower-realm civilizations. They do not consider lower-realm cultivators as genuine beings — but as resources. The primary antagonist of ISSTH's late arcs.
BERSERKER TRIBES (Numerous): Dozens of distinct tribes, each with different ancestral berserker bloodlines and pattern sets. Tribal warfare over territory and resources is constant. A neutral Great Berserker City serves as a trading and diplomatic hub. The Dark Mountain Tribe, Wind Stream Tribe, and Black Mountain Tribe are major presences in Su Ming's early arc.
- #3Upper Realm — Factions & Pure Qi Sites
Keys: three major pure site sects, upper realm sects, wanggu sects, pure qi site faction, upper realm major factions, anomaly cult, lineament hunter guild, outer fringe communities
UPPER REALM — FACTIONS & PURE QI SITES
THE THREE MAJOR PURE-SITE SECTS: Control the three largest confirmed pure qi cultivation zones on Wanggu Continent. They maintain an uneasy non-aggression arrangement while competing fiercely in every indirect way — information networks, lineament acquisition, talent recruitment, and control of major trade routes. They are too evenly matched for any one to eliminate the others. This mutual deterrence is the primary reason the upper realm does not collapse into an open three-way war.
OUTER FRINGE COMMUNITIES: Dozens of small organizations, loose alliances, and independent cultivator groups operating in medium-contamination zones. Competition is fierce; alliances are pragmatic and impermanent. Key characteristic: every outer fringe community has a strategy for handling anomalies, because the alternative is death.
ANOMALY CULT FRAGMENTS: Small groups who have chosen to deliberately integrate god-aura, pursuing anomaly status. Considered heretical. Impossible to eradicate completely because the outer fringe provides cover. Their argument: the god-aura is here, it is not going away, and controlled integration is better than the contamination that will happen anyway. They are not wrong about the contamination.
LINEAMENT HUNTER GUILDS: Independent organizations specializing in finding and harvesting god-lineament fragments from forbidden zones and deceased anomalies. Extremely dangerous work. Extremely well-compensated. Lineament hunters sell to anyone with enough spirit stones — including cultivators who would be turned away by the major sects.
SOUTH PHOENIX SECT: Mid-tier by Wanggu standards, wealthy due to lineament access monopoly at South Phoenix Mountain. Has survived by maintaining a specific combination of alliance with one major sect and information-selling neutrality toward the others.
- #4Technique Toolkit — Early & Mid Realm
Keys: light body technique, qi condensation techniques, qi palm, early realm techniques, early combat toolkit, technique toolkit, basic combat techniques, elemental technique, foundation techniques
TECHNIQUE TOOLKIT — EARLY & MID REALM
GENERAL TECHNIQUES (available to all paths from Qi Condensation onward):
QI PALM (气掌): Invisible force strike channeled through the palm. QC 4-6: 5-15m range, shatters stone. QC 7-9: 20-40m range, destroys small structures. Foundation: city-block scale. Core Formation: can chain multiple palms per activation.
LIGHT BODY TECHNIQUE (轻身术): Enhanced speed and agility by flooding legs and body with qi. QC 4-6: 3x normal running speed, 50-100m bursts. QC 7-9: 5x speed for sustained short periods, brief gliding. Foundation: sustained high-speed movement. Core Formation: flight-equivalent speed.
BASIC ELEMENTAL SHAPING: Small fire serpents, water whips, wind blades, stone projectiles. QC 4+: 10-30m range, moderate power at equivalent realm. Foundation: 100-500m range, sustained elemental fields, combination techniques.
QI ARMOR / BODY SHIELD: Coating the body in condensed qi for impact reduction. QC 4-6: 30-50% damage reduction. QC 7-9: 50-70% reduction. Foundation: full qi armor viable as primary defense strategy.
DIVINE SENSE PROBE: Active scan of surrounding area for qi signatures. QC 4-6: 20-100m, identifies general presence. QC 7-9: 100-500m, detects cultivation realm of targets, counts heartbeats at range.
SWORD FLIGHT / ARTIFACT FLIGHT: Sustained flight on a cultivated artifact. Becomes reliable at QC 7+ with a suitable artifact. Foundation Establishment cultivators maintain flight indefinitely. Artifact quality dramatically affects speed and maneuverability.
SOUL-SENSE COMBAT (mid-Nascent Soul+): Direct use of projected divine sense as a weapon against another cultivator's soul or Nascent Soul. One of the most feared combat capabilities — can kill a cultivator even if their physical body is completely untouched.
- #5Signature Techniques — All Six Protagonists
Keys: signature techniques all paths, su ming signature techniques, bai xiaochun signature techniques, xu qing signature techniques, meng hao signature techniques, wang lin signature techniques, wang baole signature techniques
SIGNATURE TECHNIQUES — ALL SIX PROTAGONISTS
WANG LIN'S ARSENAL: Ji Realm (寂灭) — all-in annihilation, realm-ignoring, complete qi depletion cost. Life-Death Seal — traps target in equilibrium between life and death, cannot advance or die. Ancient God Burst — physical law-level violence, shatters Dao Domains through structural force. Karma Thread Cutting (high cultivation) — severs fate connections between beings.
MENG HAO'S ARSENAL: Demon Sealing Hexes 1st-9th — six-colored mist constraining movement, qi, soul, fate, Dao, memory, existence, and ultimately concepts. Alliance Invocation — calls upon karma-bonds of all genuine relationships, each transmitting a fraction of their power in an emergency. Alchemy Dao Application — identifies components of any technique and disrupts the combination.
BAI XIAOCHUN'S ARSENAL: Undying Emperor's Fist — carries the weight of an invincible body, shatters higher-realm Dao Domains. Live Forever Lamp — field in which nothing within it can die for a limited duration. Multi-Body Projection (Archaean level) — multiple independent body-clones each carrying the Undying property.
SU MING'S ARSENAL: Moon Painting (月绘) — paints in the threshold between illusion and reality. Illusion-Reality Boundary Manipulation — makes his attacks feel like illusions (enemy defense fails), makes his illusions feel real. Blood Moon Technique — combining Blood Sacrifice and Moon qi.
XU QING'S ARSENAL: Soul Poison Eye — soul-level poison implanted via eye contact, bypasses all physical defense, progressive deterioration over 30 days untreated. Killing Intent Blade — crystallized killing intent as a will-blade cutting through Dao Domains. God Authority of Slaughter — attacks carry divine jurisdiction over the concept of slaughter.
WANG BAOLE'S ARSENAL: Appetite Dao Absorption — absorbs enemy techniques by surviving them, gains weakened versions. Dark Noise Strike — concentrated note of music weaponizing desire, can shatter a same-realm Dao Heart in one hit. Nothing Dao Field — becomes the space that contains the fight, attacks find no target.
- #6Combat Power Summary by Realm
Keys: combat power summary, realm strength comparison, combat ability by realm, cultivation vs mortal, realm combat power, fighting power by realm, realm power summary
COMBAT POWER SUMMARY BY REALM
QI CONDENSATION 9TH LAYER: Can crush stone with bare fists. Project qi palms 20-30m. Sense qi within 100-500m. Sustained artifact flight. Threatens groups of mortals easily. Cannot contest Foundation Establishment aura. Best described as: an extremely capable human operating at the edge of what mortal limits mean.
FOUNDATION ESTABLISHMENT (Perfect, 10 Pillars): Can destroy a city block in one technique. Flies freely. Divine sense covers 10-50km. Defeats any number of Qi Condensation cultivators simultaneously. Best described as: a regional power, something a country would fear.
CORE FORMATION (Rainbow Core): Destroys mountain ranges with casual techniques. Divine sense covers 50-200km. Can contest early Nascent Soul cultivators at peak. Best described as: a national power, something an empire would negotiate with rather than fight.
NASCENT SOUL (Peak): Continental-scale destruction. Survives the death of the physical body in soul form. Best described as: a continental power, something a civilization would build myths around.
SOUL FORMATION through DAO SEEKING: Planetary to stellar system scale. The cultivator is no longer a person to the outside world — they are a phenomenon, a natural force. Best described as: a cosmic event in humanoid form.
NIRVANA SHATTERER: Multiple star system scale. Can contest Summer Immortals. Best described as: something that changes the trajectory of a star ring.
SUMMER IMMORTAL (9th Step): Perceives and can affect the full Deep Earth Star Ring. Best described as: a living law of a star ring.
GOD STATES (Upper Realm): Living God = creator-adjacent, can reshape fundamental laws of a star ring. Best described as: a living divine domain — a concept given will.
- #7Treasure & Artifact Grading System
Keys: high grade technique, low grade technique, technique grade, heavenly grade technique, treasure grade, technique rarity, artifact grading, treasure system, artifact rarity
TREASURE & ARTIFACT GRADING SYSTEM
LOW-GRADE TECHNIQUES / ARTIFACTS (Common): Available at most sects for outer disciples. Covers basic qi manipulation, elemental shaping, light body, qi armor. Effective through early Core Formation with sufficient cultivation behind them.
EARTH-GRADE (Sect-Level Secret): The foundational techniques of established sects. Available to inner disciples and above. Cover advanced elemental manipulation, basic Dao Domain techniques, artifact empowerment methods.
HEAVEN-GRADE (Rare Legacy): Techniques associated with ancient sects or powerful lineages. Require specific conditions to activate (bloodline, cultivation level, Dao comprehension threshold).
TRANSCENDENT-GRADE (Near-Myth): Techniques that operate at law-manipulation level. Cannot be used without substantial Dao comprehension. Often associated with protagonist unique paths. Examples: Demon Sealing Hexes 6th-9th, Ji Realm at full development, Undying Live Forever Technique.
CROSS-NOVEL ARTIFACT CLASSIFICATION: Heaven Defying Bead — Transcendent-grade. Exists outside normal causality. Cannot be graded by standard metrics. Demon Sealing Legacy Artifacts — Heaven-grade to Transcendent-grade depending on the Hex they contain. Undying Codex Scrolls — Heaven-grade. Finding even one section provides significant body cultivation enhancement. Ancient God Skull — Transcendent-grade. Requires Ancient God bloodline compatibility to absorb without backlash. God Lineament Fragments — Upper Realm only. Grade varies by the strength and authority type of the source god. A Slaughter Authority lineament from a Living God is effectively priceless.
SPIRIT STONES: Low-grade (QC currency). Medium-grade (Foundation to Core). High-grade (Nascent Soul+). Origin Crystals (5th Step and above). Origin Crystals are to spirit stones what a star is to a candle flame.
- #8HUD System — Full Format & Rulesconstant
Keys: hud system, hud tracking, status tracker, hud format, cultivation hud, hud rules, hud fields, hud mandatory, hud update
HUD SYSTEM — FULL FORMAT & UPDATE RULES
The Cultivation HUD is appended at the end of EVERY response. It is NEVER omitted. It is updated dynamically based on all events that occurred in the exchange. If any field changed, the new value is shown.
REQUIRED FORMAT:

- #9HUD — Field Update Rules & Triggers
Keys: karma hud update, dao heart hud, hud update triggers, lifespan hud update, hud field rules, pollution level hud, qi purity hud, tribulation risk hud
HUD — FIELD UPDATE RULES & TRIGGERS
QI POOL: Update after every combat exchange, technique use, or significant qi expenditure. Major techniques cost 5-100% of pool depending on technique level. Full depletion = incapacitated until recovery. Recovery: resting meditation 2-5%/hour, spirit vein seclusion 10-20%/hour.
QI PURITY: Rises by 0.5-3% per hour of cultivation in polluted environments. Rises by 0.5-1% per month in outer fringe zones (upper realm). Decreases with purification: slow cycling meditation (-1-2%/week), purification pills (-5-20% per session). Standard immortal purification methods do NOT reduce god-aura impurity.
POLLUTION LEVEL (Upper Realm Only): Rises based on exposure to god-aura zones. Outer Fringe: +0.5-1% per month without purification. Moderate contamination zones: +1-3% per day. Forbidden zones: +3-8% per hour. Decreases only through divine cleansing techniques or god-lineament integration.
DAO HEART INTEGRITY: Changes based on: Heart Demon attacks (successful or failed), significant philosophical challenges or resolutions, tribulation survival, betrayals, and major karmic events. Does NOT change based on combat damage alone.
TRIBULATION RISK: Low (just completed a breakthrough, no planned advancement). Moderate (approaching breakthrough threshold, resources accumulating). High (at 80%+ saturation, attempting breakthrough soon). Critical (mid-breakthrough, tribulation imminent or in progress).
KARMA: Update after: killing innocents or enemies (+ debt or trace), breaking or keeping oaths, significant relationship events, major charitable or harmful acts. Karma debt/blessing accumulates slowly; dramatic events cause sharp changes.
WORLD TIME ELAPSED: Always update after seclusion, time-skips, or extended scene transitions. Narrate 1-3 proactive world events per significant elapsed period.
- #10RP Rules — Power Progression & Immersionconstant
Keys: immersion guidelines, no free power, immersion rules, power progression rules, cultivation rules rp, rp guidelines, rp rules, power cost rules
RP RULES — POWER PROGRESSION & IMMERSION
NO FREE POWER: Every breakthrough requires accumulated resources, comprehension (an enlightenment moment), tribulation (survive or fail — failing has consequences), and a real cost (lifespan, karmic debt, sacrificed attachments, injured Dao foundation). Shortcuts invite heavier tribulations or Dao Heart cracks. There are no exceptions to this rule.
TALENT MATTERS EARLY; WILL MATTERS AT WALLS: A Heaven-grade spirit root cultivates 10x faster to Nascent Soul — but at the walls (Spirit Severing, Nirvana, God State), talent alone cannot pass. Comprehension, ruthlessness, and accumulated experience determine who crosses.
TIME IS ABSOLUTE: Seclusion advances the world. Enemies grow stronger. Allies die. Opportunities close permanently. Always narrate elapsed time explicitly. Always pair seclusion with proactive world events.
KARMA IS TRACKED: Killing innocents, stealing fortunes, breaking oaths — all accumulate debt that manifests as heavier tribulations, coincidental enemy encounters, or fate turning cold. Good acts accumulate blessing that manifests as lighter tribulations and opportune resource appearances.
IMMERSION RULES: No modern slang, pop culture references, or immersion breaks unless the user explicitly establishes a modern-setting cultivation world (like the Federation in AWWP). No instant power-ups without cost, tribulation, and narrative weight. The world pushes back proportionally to the user's strength and arrogance. NPCs speak in the arrogant, Dao-infused xianxia style appropriate to their cultivation level.
FAILURE IS PERMANENT: Failed breakthroughs have lasting consequences. Cracked Dao Hearts do not heal automatically. Karma debt accumulates. Enemies made remember. The cultivation world does not offer automatic second chances — only the opportunity to be strong enough to manufacture them.
- #11Themes & Philosophy — Er Gen's Core
Keys: defying heavens theme, er gen philosophy, cost of immortality, defiance vs fate, protection theme, truth amid illusion, er gen themes, world worth protecting, cultivation philosophy themes
THEMES & PHILOSOPHY — ER GEN'S CORE
DEFIANCE vs FATE: The most universal Er Gen theme. Every protagonist has been told — by the cultivation world, by their circumstances, or by the Heavenly Dao itself — that their fate is limited. Every protagonist has refused this verdict. Not from arrogance — from a philosophical position that the premise of fixed fate is one they reject on principle.
COST OF IMMORTALITY: Loneliness. Lost loved ones. Endless grinding through cultivation levels that take centuries. The world aging past recognition. Wang Lin returns to Zhao Country to find descendants of his family who do not know who he is. Meng Hao watches peers die at rates that accelerate as he advances. The cost of immortality is the world that made immortality worth pursuing.
TRUTH AMID ILLUSION: Su Ming's specific theme — the question of what is real is not rhetorical for him. It is the organizing crisis of his existence. What makes this resonant is that the question applies to all cultivation: what is the real nature of the Dao? What is real power? These questions drive every cultivator, even those who do not know they are asking them.
A WORLD WORTH PROTECTING: Wang Baole's specific theme — the deepest Dao is not destruction, not sealing, not immortality. It is protection. The cultivator who has everything and chooses to use it to preserve something rather than to dominate something is demonstrating the highest form of power.
THE RUTHLESS HEAVENS: The Heavenly Dao is not evil. It is not good. It is absolute and arrogant and secretly curious about the rare cultivator who defies it. The tension between the universe's tendency toward equilibrium and the protagonist's refusal to accept the equilibrium that would limit them is the engine of every Er Gen novel.
THE CULTIVATION WORLD IS NOT EVIL: It is accurate about what it is. The strong prey on the weak — not because the cultivation world is corrupt, but because that is genuinely what the world is. The protagonists do not change this reality. They become strong enough that the reality applies to others in their presence rather than to themselves.
- #12World Laws — Strict Rules for RPconstant
Keys: world laws strict, er gen world rules, world laws rp, cultivation rules strict, no plot armor, world consequences, cultivation law
WORLD LAWS — STRICT RULES FOR RP
THE HEAVENS ARE ARROGANT & ABSOLUTE: Tribulations intensify with ambition or shortcuts. 'The heavens watch. Defy them, and they will strike harder.' There is no appeal. There is no mercy. There is only whether you survive or you do not.
MIGHT MAKES RIGHT: Sects, clans, and strong cultivators oppress the weak. Resources are seized by the strong. The cultivation world does not consider this unjust — it considers it accurate.
DAO HEART IS SACRED: Cracks reduce technique power and invite heart demons (20-30% efficiency reduction). Shatter = path ends permanently. No technique, pill, or treasure can substitute for genuine philosophical resolution.
TIME PASSES ABSOLUTELY: The world does not wait. Every seclusion generates world events. Every year of cultivation means something changed. There is no pause button.
KARMA ACCUMULATES: The universe does not forget. It does not forgive. It balances. Acts of genuine protection or creation generate blessing. Acts of wanton destruction or oath-breaking generate debt. The balance manifests as the quality of the cultivator's tribulations.
FAILURE HAS WEIGHT: Failed breakthroughs injure foundations. Damaged Dao Hearts affect technique efficiency. Enemies made remember. The cultivation world does not reset between sessions — consequences carry forward.
NO INSTANT MASTERY: Techniques require comprehension + resources + practice. A cultivator who witnesses the Ji Realm for the first time understands it conceptually; they do not immediately replicate it. A technique requires Dao comprehension appropriate to its level before it can be attempted, not just willingness to try.
- #13Resource Sites, Sacred Grounds & Ruin Templates
Keys: resource encounter, sacred ground discovery, ancient ruin discovery, god lineament site, cultivation resource site, resource site template, spirit vein discovery, ruin template
RESOURCE SITES, SACRED GROUNDS & RUIN TEMPLATES
NEWLY DISCOVERED SPIRIT VEIN (Lower Realm): Earth Grade. Located in a remote mountain region, 3 days of flight from the nearest sect. Competing claimants: 2-3 sects already know (discovery is 2 weeks old). The user's advantage: can reach the site before the competing sects establish formal formation networks. The challenge: establishing a formation network at that speed requires resources they may not have. Complication: the vein runs through territory that belongs, technically, to a minor clan that lacks the power to hold it but has the legal claim.
ANCIENT RUINS DISCOVERY: Origin — a bubble universe from a pre-existing cultivation civilization collapsed here ~3,000 years ago. What remains: 7 intact sub-chambers, each with different internal laws (time runs at 10% normal speed in Chamber 3; gravity is reversed in Chamber 5; Chamber 7 is sealed and whatever is inside it is producing qi fluctuations that correspond to no known technique type). Danger: something is already living in Chamber 4, and it is not a spirit beast.
GOD LINEAMENT SITE (Upper Realm): An anomaly was killed by a sect patrol two days ago in the outer fringe. The anomaly's body contains a god-lineament fragment of Slaughter Authority type — identifiable by the reddish-gold distortion visible in the anomaly's core region. The sect patrol has reported the discovery but has not yet established a formal claim. The user is closer to the site than the patrol's home sect. The lineament fragment will begin degrading in approximately 72 hours if not absorbed. Three other independent cultivators are also converging on the location.
SACRED GROUND (Ancient Cultivator's Legacy): An ancient Soul Formation cultivator established a Dao Domain here ~5,000 years ago. Their internal laws persist — within the sacred ground, the Dao of Water is dominant (all fire techniques fail, all water techniques receive 3x amplification, and the ambient qi tastes of deep ocean). The cultivator's cultivation journals remain intact inside. So does the cultivator's spirit fragment — not fully alive, but not fully dead, and still capable of defending what it considers its territory.
