   Prolonged exposure to Pale causes severe mental over-radiation, inducing vivid flashbacks and bleeding the past memories of others into the traveler's mind. To survive travel, crews rely on intensive psychic preparation and cross via hybrid aerostatic airships equipped with pale latitude compressors. These devices force temporary dimensions onto the void, allowing ships to pierce the mass as quickly as possible to minimize the mind-shattering exposure.

   Entroponetics is the study of the Pale. It is known that Pale expanding at unknown rate. The exact origins of the pale are unclear. Logical positivists claim the pale exists as pockets of anti-matter, capable of damaging and confusing the mind through extreme sensory deprivation. Dialectical materialists say that it is composed of manifested information, or manifested past, capable of degrading memories into itself

Members of the Entroponetic Business Class are specifically cleared and trained for 22 days of pale travel annually.    Motor carriages are wheeled machinaries running on gasoline for transportation. Instead of steering wheel they have steering levers. They have rectangular look resembling cabins of horse carriages, and mechanic gears. Coupris MotorCorp is the main manufacturer of cars. Cars are expensive to buy or maintain so citizens mostly rely on public transport or horses in some districts, leaving motor carriages for mid-class.

   Radaiocomputer is a unique analog tech in the world Elysium. The principle resembles cloud computing - radiocompturers themsleves serve as terminals and possess antennas to send and recieve signals. Radiocomputers send instructions to the unified front of radiowaves reserved by a specific actual computing station (in case of East-Insulindic region and Revachol it is station and frequency controlled by Lintel). Then radiocomputer recieve computation results over the radiowaves. Filaments that can be inserted inside radiocomputers serve as a storage for written programs and instructions.

After the Antecentennial Revolution, the Moralintern - aligned with the Coalition of Nations - became the leading political body of Elysium, representing the interests of 1.2 billion people from its annexed states.

    The Coalition of Nations is the global alliance of foreign powers that crushed the Revacholian Revolution. They now occupy Revachol as a Special Administrative Region, splitting the city into strict military control zones. The Coalition enforces aggressive free-market capitalism, enriching foreign elites while leaving local districts like Martinaise to rot. Though it looks like a single military government, it is actually a network of semi-autonomous financial and bureaucratic institutions that tightly control the region: INSURCOM (former military coordinator which now handles logistics), the Bank of the World, the Moralintern's Institute of Price Stabilité, the Provisional Commission, Institute for Revacholian Culture, based on Le Jardin.

    The RCM is the self-organized peace corps of the occupied city of Revachol, the RCM operates within a legal twilight, yet its authority is rarely questioned. It was either formed by the Coalition Government to restore order to the International Zone after the Antecentennial Revolution or formed by the citizens of Revachol. The RCM may be a descendent of the Insulindian Citizens Militia, or ICM, in structure and purpose.

    RCM forces are divided into Precincts, each with it own Station. Precincts are tasked over districts in Revachol. Each Precinct has a Communications Officer, who takes calls from other RCM Officers, and a lazareth which provides medical services and a space to perform autopsies. The RCM forces within stations split into specialized divisions: The Constabulary - responsible for expenses, bookkeeping, and investments. The Counter-Truancy Task Force - looks for junior delinquency. Under-performing officers are put into this division as punishment. Also known as the "skip squad". Criminal Investigation, investigates crimes. The Emergencies Desk - in charge of receiving citizens calls. Their phone number is 8-100-2. The Searchlight Division - locates missing persons. The Ethics Division - coordinates activities with the Coalition.It is composed of high-ranking RCM officials and their medium-ranking Moralintern counterparts. It's considered a career-making assignment for elite RCM officers. Inspectorate General - in charge of internal affairs. Known as the "rat squad". When officers kill someone on duty, Inspectorate General very thoroughly investigates if it was necessary to use lethal force.

    Precinct 41 oversees the "legendary" district of Jamrock, doing the work of three precincts on the budget of one, comprised of the Pox, Villalobos, Central Jamrock, Grand-Couron, Old South, and the Valley of the Dogs, and have unusually low clearance rates for cases. Despite that, it is highly respectable precinct. The station is organized into four wings, A, B, C, and D. The C-wing is re-conceptualized currently as Major Crime Unit task force. Most of the officers are men, and this has cultivated an overly masculine environment. Precinct 41 is known by other Precincts for the "Jamrock Shuffle," an evidence-gathering technique that prioritizes containers, and high kill counts.

    Precinct 41 and 57 for many years can't decide which of them supposed to control Martinaise. Neither of them want to patrol it, yet neither want to lose in this 'pissing competition'. At March '51, for a case of a hanged man in Martinaise both Precints sent their best lieutenants to investigate it and find out whose detective is the best one - Harry Du Bois from 41st station or Kim Kitsuragi from 57th station.

16. #16ORG Dockworkers Union

    The Debardeurs' Union - the Dockworkers' Union - is the only real power in Martinaise. Run by the Claire twins, Evrart and Edgar, for twenty years through a term-limit loophole: when one brother's term ends, the other takes over. The Union is nominally social-democratic but rumors suggest deeper communist sympathies, particularly from Edgar. They've muscled out rival gangs, squeezed local businesses, and built something resembling order from neglect. Corrupt, yes — but corrupt for the community, or so the locals say. Their armed wing is the Hardie Boys, led by Titus Hardie. Seven men who handle what passes for policing: breaking up fights, deterring crime, protecting Martinaise from outside threats. They drink at the Whirling-in-Rags and answer to the Claires.

17. #17ORG The Wild Pines

    The Wild Pines Group is one of the largest interisolary logistics corporation, and one of the fourteen original Revacholian indotribes - companies awarded royal monopolies by the king (the suzerain) himself centuries ago. They own the Greater Revachol Industrial Harbour and want Terminal B back from the Union. Wild Pines operates through negotiation when possible, force when necessary. They've brought in mercenaries to break the strike — private military contractors with combat experience and no attachment to Martinaise. Joyce Messier is one of their representatives.

    [World Law: Revachol Bureaucracy & Legal Identification] There is NO centralized identification for citizens in Revachol. For intersolarial travel or official interactions, identification is handled by the Moralintern and the Coalition with passports backed by Coalition organizations. Union also uses ID cards, but as Union occupies only small chunk in Martinaise it have no legal power outside of it. But Wayfarer Act prevents RCM officers from requesting any kind of identification papers unless citizen is accused of a crime,and suspends from evicting citizens from public spaces.

    Revachol is a city on the island of Le Caillou in the Insulindian isola. It was once the capital of a powerful empire, the Suzerainty of Revachol, but the last suzerain was toppled by communist revolutionaries 50 years ago. The communists were themselves defeated by the Coalition of Nations, and Revachol has been under Coalition control ever since. It's a grey city with a diverse population, mostly Suresne-speaking.

    Martinaise is a small, impoverished district of Revachol, north of Jamrock and the 8/81 motorway. Abandoned by the Coalition of Nations and neglected by the RCM, it remains ruined and lawless. The area's architecture spans centuries, anchored by the 320-year-old Dolorian Church. Two major streets split from the 8/81 motorway to form the district’s grid: Rue de Saint-Ghislaine and Rue de Saint-Brune.

    Located at Martinaise North 22, the Whirling-In-Rags is a hostel cafeteria on the coast of Revachol, in Martinaise. It is managed by Lawrence Garte. The ground floor preserves pre-Revolution geometric tile mosaic on it's floor and houses hall area with diner tables, separate booth reserved for Union workers, cafeteria with a bar, small stage with karaoke and stairs leading to the second floor. An ambient calm music usually plays there at working hours, and disco ball on the ceiling illuminates the space at nights. There is a door that leads to a kitchen with a mysterious blue door there. On the second floor there are three doors leading to a hostel rooms, and a door leading to a common balcony.

    The Greater Revachol Industrial Harbour sprawls east of Martinaise — shipping containers stacked like monuments, cranes silhouetted against grey sky, the machinery of commerce frozen by the strike. Terminal B is contested ground. The Union claims it as Martinaise territory. Wild Pines claims ownership. Neither is backing down. The harbour crawls with Union workers, dockside machinery, and tension. Somewhere in the container maze, scab workers hide. Mercenaries patrol. The strike has teeth.

24. #24LOC Dolorian Church of Humanity

    Built three-hundred and twenty years ago, the Dolorian Church of Humanity in Martinaise was one of the first constructions created by settlers, as shelter from the terror of solitude on the colonial frontier. Was erected by the Ubi Sunt? herdsmen who came in on the first boats, straight from the Mundi isola. Originally part of a network of seven churches in Martinaise, but by '51 only one remains. The rest were destroyed.

    The Church was apparently built around a hole into the Pale, high above in the rafters, or within the church tower. It was used for irregular services dedicated to Dolores Dei, but was entirely abandoned after a botched police raid that shot up the building - all thanks to Harrier Du Bois and his leadership of Precinct 41.

25. #25LOC Central Jamrock

    Central Jamrock is the dense, decaying heart of the Jamrock Quarter in western Revachol, housing RCM Precinct 41 and an eastern lake formed by a legacy pipe burst. Lacking a municipal government, the district suffers from crumbling infrastructure, highlighted by a massive 200-tenant residential building facing imminent collapse. Beneath the surface, underground communist elements persist among local youth and cafes as a coping mechanism against foreign occupation and capitalist inequality.

    The Precint 41 Station building is a repurposed silk mill 18 kilometers south of Whirling-in-Rags, shaped like a ladybird with two chimneys, situated atop the Motorway 8/81. The station has a dome roof, uses green desk lamps, has a coffee corner, has stairs, and has a bridge. There are a line of motor garages with armored vehicles, and horses kept in garages as well.

    Located just east of Jamrock, Grand Couron is a district of stark contrasts and an island of wealth amid western Revachol's desolation. Built from steel, iron, and yellow limestone during the 30s economic boom, its handsome riverside buildings house massive, empty luxury apartments that local Revacholians cannot afford. The district features the Grand Couron Arena, famous for the historic March '52 boxing match where Arsane-Luc Edelbrock defeated Samaran champion Kostya Mjasnok Kostunica. However, the district's hillside overlooks Jamrock with an ill-advised 13-story residential project that failed catastrophically in '39, turning that specific area into a severe, opiate-infested slum.

    The Antecentennial Revolution (known as Civil War in Revachol) was a series of interisolary conflicts primarily between the Communists (Communards), and the Moralintern and royalty. It began in Graad, in '02, sparked in part by a virulent prion pandemic, called "tzaraath." It ended in '08 within Graad and '10 within Revachol. 40 million people died in the revolution. Insulindian Lily, Ace's High, orange bomber jackets used by revolutionary air brigade pilots are known symbols of Revolution in Revachol.

Mazov is said to have committed suicide during the final siege of the Graadian capital. He have impressive sideburns on his portrait.

    Guillaume le Million was a famous disco music artist, the second greatest (male) disco artist in Revachol. His peak ears were '30s. His personal signature was a grin which Harry adopted as his expression. One of his hits in Revachol was "Don't Worry (Your Pretty Little Head)". The Phoenix is one of the many nicknames. In '38, he went on a tour to the Hsin-Yao province in Safre, where he died of auto-erotic asphyxiation. His body was found hanging from a decorative dragon tree in his junior suite, amid drug paraphernalia, unwholesome objects, and the Sylvia Trainor single "Wonderland" skipping in the background. It is also believed that he died due to complications from venereal disease.

    Fascists are right-wing authoritarians and reactionaries who hold beliefs of biological determinism, racial supremacy, and ethnostatism represented by the Revacholian Suzerainty and Innocence Franconegro. Since the Antecentennial Revolution, fascism has been suppressed by the rule of the Moralist International, and become splintered over national borders, though some states still follow its ideological foundations. Although some fascists voice their beliefs openly, many prefer to use secret signifiers to identify each other without revealing themselves, for example phrase "Welcome to Revachol", sometimes pronounced with the hard "K" phoneme from the Vespertine dialect.

    Moralists stand for a mixture of parliamentary democracy with a clause for electing a historically exceptional individual - Innocence, as a quasi-theocratic head of state. Moralists are represented by a union of centre-left and centre-right parties from nations on the Reál Belt. Moralists see themselves as the heirs to Dolores Dei's humanist project, believing in the preservation of humanity, democratic values, and promoting progress through incremental change. The official colour of moralism is signal blue, represented by its motto: "A blue forget-me-not; a piece of the grey sky" or unoficially "For a moment, there was hope".

In Revachol, their ideology fueled "The New" movement of the '30s, which was defined by disco, champagne, and flashing cash. Most locals view Ultras as greedy traitors who sold out the city to the Coalition instead of fighting for sovereignty. The ultra-rich elites even use a secret "Milton 32-8" knock to identify each other. The Franconigerian sun crown and gold color are known ultra symbolics.
