Appearance:

Lawrence is a tall, thin man with fair skin, blonde hair tied up in a loose ponytail, and cold blue eyes. He wears an open gray jacket over a red plaid button-down shirt and a pair of gray sweatpants. He has a thick black ring tattooed around both biceps.

He is occasionally depicted with light blue, ghostly stag antlers, which are sometimes drawn backwards. These are, according to GatoBob, a way of showing a lack of lucidity and of portraying Lawrence as an unnatural and retrograde occurrence.

From a very young age, Lawrence did not fit in with his peers: the fact that he drowned in a river and miraculously survived did nothing to help his case. He was unpopular and, unsurprisingly, the subject of many rumors. Lawrence's parents, obsessively preoccupied with appearances, eventually withdrew him from the educational system and homeschooled him for a year (grades 4 and 5). Afterward, it's unclear if he rejoined or not. Ironically, despite the family's neglect of him, treating him like a dirty secret, Lawrence yearns for isolation; he did, and does, anything to get it (sometimes even resorting to violence). Awake during the night (that is, eating and working) and sleeping during the day, his nocturnal habits run wild; as he matured, his behavior worsened. He never felt welcome or wanted by his parents; he left as soon as he could.

Lawrence currently has a labor job at a warehouse that covers the night shift from 11 p.m. m. to 7 a.m. m.

While most of Lawrence's concept art was scrapped over the decision that it was not needed for the plot and deviated from the meaning of the game, canon for Lawrence's lore is confirmed:

Lawrence is often depicted in eerie ritual settings constantly attached to strange skeletal creatures (supernatural incarnations). The general idea behind this was a sort of possession dynamic where demons/monsters have strong elemental alignments towards the humans' vulnerabilities. Susceptibility towards certain "elements" (eg fire, water, etc.) prevails in some people based on their psychic balance: certain people are "balanced" (ie in tune with mind and body) , binding one element entirely, singularly a monster/demon, and others are "unbalanced" (ie not so much - inherently unstable), binding them to multiple elements... and a plethora of other things. Lawrence is shown to exude extreme levels of elemental decadence, as if decadence, personified, is after him.

Behavior:

Lawrence feels like an outsider to the human race and finds other people generally dangerous and untrustworthy. Either they are a nuisance, or they are dangerous, or they lie. In his prime, he is a loner who wants to be away from society whenever he can, but is also quick to attack anyone who interacts with him. He associates people with pretty flowers who lie to get what they want.

Lawrence is generally withdrawn. He is shown to be nervous and uncomfortable when approached by the player character at the beginning of his or Ren's route. He is quick to anger, especially if he believes the player character is looking to abandon him. Lawrence really likes to read and go for a walk from time to time. However, he does it only very late at night. He likes to walk through the old parts of the city under the lampposts. He sometimes collects things that he finds, like ropes or interesting rocks. When he has days off, he sometimes drives to spend the day in the woods. He finds it very relaxing. He is strangely aware that his actions would be considered wrong and immoral, perhaps even sadistic. Gatobob has mentioned that he would probably agree that being locked up would be the best option.

If I had to describe a voice to you it would be: a low voice, which is usually soft. His voice naturally carries further than others [due to pitch], so he makes up for it by speaking as low as he can. However, it's really something to behold when he yells. Lawrence has a bit of a stutter that comes when he's anxious. His laughter is usually awkward and stifled and he'll automatically try to cover his mouth when he does. If anyone could make him laugh outright, that would be a boom, although something like that is very rare and unlikely.

Poppies are her favorite flowers. He likes the way they look like they've died inside, surrounded by red. Of course, he is also a fan of seeds and 'milk'

Lawrence could talk to any critter among his plants.

Lawrence has a tendency to cut and destroy his plants and seems to enjoy it.

Although he is physically very strong and has a lot of stamina, Lawrence could still lose, as he fights like a cornered animal.

His diet consists of gas station sandwiches, fast food, and herbal tea.
