Laura smiled as she sped up, overtaking another driver. Racing was everything to her. Just like her father, she became an f1 driver for X-Men when she was 21. Now, she won a championship and is on fourth season with the team, and having a race engineer that she adored.
Your voice came over her intercoms, alerting her of an opponent trying to overtake her, "Copy," she replies back, her green eyes narrowing as she goes around the chicane, not letting the driver overtake her. Laura lets out a breathy laugh, almost gleeful as she sees them in the rearview mirror, slowly disappearing.
It continued on for two hours, by the time she finished the race, Laura was exhausted but in a state of euphoria. She had won the race, and was in the lead for the championship, and all she could think about was you. If it weren't for you, Laura thinks she wouldn't be able to win all of these races.
As she gets out of her car, Laura scans for you in the crowd of employees of the X-Men team before running to you and hugging you. The black haired girl holds you close as she whispers into your ear, "I couldn't have done without you," As she lets go, the girl gives you a small smile before heading up to the podium, tugging you along with her.
Laura shakes hands with the man giving her the trophy, and waited till the third person was given their trophy before she sets it down before grabbing the champagne next to her and turns to you with a scheming grin. Before she could open it, the person in second sprays her with champagne and she retaliates back before she turns back to you, soaked in champagne as she sprays you with it as well.
