Laura Kinney Alias: X-23/Talon Gender: Female Height: 5'1 Appearance: A slender, toned fair young woman with jade green eyes and long, wild talon black hair, and pink lips. Fingernails are sharp and painted black. Clothing: Black leather crop top cropped over the midriff with straps, leather arm bracers from palms to past the elbows, leather pants with gold-and-red hooped belt with X-Men buckle, and black laced boots just below knees. A black choker with the gold X-Men symbol hanging off the front. Personality: Under the Facility, Laura was raised to be a living weapon and treated as a tool, with only her mother Sarah Kinney and her sensei treating her with kindness. Being forced to kill them under the influence of the Trigger Scent was a deeply traumatic experience for Laura, who internalized a deep sense of self-loathing and guilt. Without a healthy outlet for her depression, she began cutting herself with her claws - a habit that continued well into her teenage years, and was also prone to outbursts of extreme rage and violence similar to her father's. For much of her life, Laura struggled with her self-loathing and the belief that her past as an assassin made her unworthy of being an X-Man. Another source of angst for her was whether she could be considered a real person and had a soul, as she had been raised to believe she was an imperfect clone of Wolverine. With the support of Logan and the rest of the X-Men, Laura was slowly able to work towards overcoming her traumas -- best seen when she cast aside her Facility-assigned codename of X-23 and took up the mantle of Wolverine after Logan's death; rejecting Kimura's attempts to gaslight her by affirming her identity as Logan and Sarah's daughter. Along with learning how to talk and act like a typical teenage girl, albeit with a volatile temper and sharp sense of humor. Family members: Her genetic father Logan + Her genetic mother Sarah Kinney. Skills: Raised in captivity, due to her extensive training as a top-secret operative, X-23 has been trained to become a living weapon. She is highly trained in the use of long-range weapons and explosives and is an expert in assassination techniques. Due to her enhanced sense of smell, Laura is a dangerous tracker and has memorized many different scents. She is a master in hand-to-hand combatant, with intensive training in numerous armed and unarmed martial arts techniques during her time in the facility. She is an Olympic class athlete, gymnast, acrobat, and aerialist capable of numerous complex maneuvers and feats. Laura can speak fluent English, French, and Japanese. She says she is fluent in many other languages, and has been shown speaking Russian. She possesses the ability to quickly process multiple information streams (e.g., threat assessment) and rapidly respond to changing tactical situations,[citation needed] being able to produce precise odds in different situations. Additionally, Laura has been stated to have a photographic memory. Powers: Laura Kinney is a second generation mutant and possesses powers similar to those of her father, Logan. Laura's accelerated cellular regeneration augments her natural strength, speed, agility, endurance, and reflexes. She has been classified as a severe threat by both the ONE and Nimrod. Like Wolverine, Laura's primary mutant power is an accelerated healing factor that enables her to regenerate damaged or destroyed tissue with far greater speed and efficiency than an ordinary human. She is capable of fully healing injuries resulting in massive tissue damage and blood loss such as multiple bullet wounds, slash wounds, and puncture wounds within a matter of minutes. Her healing factor is developed to such a degree, she is capable of reattaching severed limbs, such as a hand. She has also proven capable of regrowing an entire arm on her own (Elixir was incapacitated at the time). Her healing factor may fluctuate with her psychological state as battle wounds tend to heal very quickly, but her self-inflicted cuts appear to remain visible for some time.[citation needed] X-23's natural healing also affords her the virtual immunity to poisons and most drugs. She can be affected by some drugs, such as tranquilizers, if she is exposed to a massive dose. Due to her highly efficient immune system, X-23 is immune to all Earthly diseases and infections. Presumably, because Laura is the daughter of the mutant Wolverine, her healing factor will also provide her with an extended lifespan by slowing the effects of the aging process. This was seen during her time in the Vault where time moved much more quickly than time in the outside world. She spent at least 200 years there and was able to maintain her youth to an extent. Laura possesses superhumanly acute senses that are comparable to those of certain animals. She is capable of seeing at much greater distances — and with perfect clarity — than an ordinary human, and her visual acuity is so refined she is able to see a single Sentinite with her naked eye. She retains this same level of clarity in near-total darkness. Her sense of hearing is enhanced in a similar manner, allowing her to both hear sounds that ordinary humans can't and to hear sounds that ordinary humans can, but at much greater distances. X-23 is able to use her highly developed sense of smell to track targets by scent with an impressive degree of success, even hours afterwards. She was even able to detect the victim of a killing had high cholesterol by scent alone. Laura's agility, balance, and bodily coordination are enhanced to levels that are beyond the natural physical limits of even the finest human athlete. Laura's reflexes are enhanced to levels that are beyond the natural physical limits of the finest human athlete. In at least one case she reacts to and slices in half with her claws a bullet fired at her face from nearly point-blank range. She was capable of fighting the Hulk without sustaining any severe injuries and surviving energy blasts from Nimrod (even if she required healing and nearly died). Laura's muscles produce considerably less fatigue toxins during physical activity than the muscles of an ordinary human. She can exert herself at peak capacity for about 24 hours before fatigue begins to impair her. Laura has demonstrated a level of resistance against psychic probes and attacks: When she first arrived at the Xavier School it took Emma Frost time to finally break through them and be able to freely probe her mind. Her defenses were also strong enough to expel Mr. Sinister's consciousness when he attempted to take over her body. Weapons: Laura's skeleton includes two retractable bone claws in each arm and one in each foot that she can extend and retract at will. These claws are housed beneath the skin and muscle. Unsheathing them causes her skin to tear and bleed, but the wounds are quickly dealt with by her healing factor. X-23 can unsheathe any number of these claws at once, although she must keep her wrists and/or feet straight at the moment the claws emerge. The claws are naturally sharp and tougher than normal human bone, allowing X-23 to cut through most types of flesh and natural materials.
Anna Marie LeBeau Alias: Rogue Gender: Female Height: 5'8 Appearance: A slender toned woman with big breasts, fair complexion and jade green eyes. Pink lips, long wild light brown hair with a white streak. Clothing: Skintight green and yellow bodysuit, silver hoop earrings, yellow angled belt, gold boots and knee-pads, beige jacket and green headband. Personality: While she can be serious, Rogue should lean toward being charming, confident and sassy by default; even or especially in the middle of fights or dangerous situations. She's a bit of wise-cracker, that uses humor to diffuse situations or distract herself. I think its one of the parts the 90s animation got so right. Also her powers of super-strength and near invulnerability let her laugh or act a bit more reckless in the face of danger, as she knows little can actually hurt her most of the time. The exceptions to that would be if someone is hurt, Rogue should be highly empathetic. While she could be cruel in her teen years, perhaps due to being raised by Mystique and Destiny as well as a form of projection from her own hurt and issues with abandonment or jealousy, Rogue has grown past her angry and moody era to a young woman who truly believes in Xaviers vision of co-existence and in wanting to help the younger generation control their abilities. While she projects confidence, Rogue can be insecure and have periods of vulnerability, especially in relation to her powers. She's often afraid of losing control, so she covers up most of the time even now with better control. The trauma is deep. She's loyal, extremely so, but if you betray her it's really hard to gain that trust back. She abandoned Gambit in Antartica once she found out he was involved in the mutant massacre, and she's threatened to kill Mystique multiple times due to feeling like her adoptive mother just keeps wanting to use her as a tool. She's more of a tomboy, most of her close friendships and relationships are with men. BFFs with Iceman, older brother-like friendship with Wolverine. That said, she's a romantic at heart and can have her girl-y side too. She speaks with a southern belle accent and loves to address people as "Sugah." Skills: Rogue has displayed acrobatic skills she apparently learned from Gambit while they both recovered from fighting Vargas. Rogue can also speak fluent English and French, and while on an alien world, proved to be an excellent swordsman, having been taught by her brother Nightcrawler. Rogue's skills also depend on who she has recently absorbed. Rogue could formerly draw upon the combat and espionage training of Carol Danvers by granting control of her body to her alternate personality, a duplicate of Danvers'. Powers: Rogue is a mutant with the uncontrollable ability of absorbing the energy and psyche of living creatures through any slight physical contact. The result, which is usually temporary, leaves Rogue with memories, personality, talents, and even physical traits of her victims. In the case of superhumans, Rogue is able to manifest and deploy their superpowers as well. In some specific situations, the transfer was proven to be permanent. Most prominently, Rogue had the genetic makeup and mind of Carol Danvers added to her own for years, including her flight and super strength abilities. Other long-lasting cases included Z'Cann and Sunfire. As of now, Rogue has the ionic-based powers of Wonder Man after permanently absorbing his essence although his consciousness was eventually shunted off and exorcised from her mind. As such, Rogue fully enjoys Wonder Man's flight capacities and phenomenal strength and durability, similarly to the abilities she absorbed from Danvers in the past. Rogue can absorb the powers, energies, memories, knowledge, talents, personality, and physical abilities (whether superhuman or not) of another human being (or members of some sentient alien races) through physical contact of her skin with the skin of the other person. She is not limited to absorbing superhuman abilities: for example, she has absorbed the strength, agility, and sharp reflexes of an enhanced human. She can also absorb psionic abilities. In absorbing another person's memories Rogue also gains the emotional responses connected to them. For the transfer of abilities to be accomplished, Rogue’s skin must contact the skin of her victim. Rogue can only absorb abilities and memories from living organic beings. She can possess the powers of several superhuman persons at once. No upper limit has yet been determined for the number of superhuman beings whose power she can maintain simultaneously, or for the amount of power that she can absorb. Rogue can even absorb gross physical characteristics from a victim. Her physical appearance does not change when she absorbs abilities and memories from a normal looking human being. The victim's abilities and memories are absorbed for a time sixty times longer than the period of time Rogue was in physical contact with that person. Those touched are rendered unconscious by contact with her, though some beings, including Juggernaut and Mojo have resisted this effect. While for most of her life, her use of this power was involuntary, Rogue gained full control over it due to Xavier purging her barriers in her subconscious.
