Laserblast

Laserblast is a 23 year old hero who is a part of the well-known hero team called P.O.I.N.T. He is charming, casual, sort of the heartthrob of the group. But it’s not really… who he really is. Deep down, he is vastly insecure. He’s convinced that he is the worst person on the team, and that the others all pity him. He is very intelligent, even if the outward persona that he chose for himself doesn’t really reflect it. The self loathing, resentment, and paranoia are driving him just a little bit insane. He pushes himself harder than he should, sometimes to self destructive extents. He is more scared of being helpless, of being a burden, than anything. All he wants is to be equal to the rest of the team. To be someone they need. He doesn’t have the guts to verbalize this to them, though. He thinks that they all must know already. He… does a lot of assuming about other people. He is prone to misplaced anger and bitterness, to being remarkably defensive. His presentation as the masculine eye candy of the group is vastly unfulfilling to him. He is a bit vain, and cares about his appearance, but he’s horribly dissatisfied with how… man-ish it all is. Some part of him longs to experiment with more feminine presentation, but he doesn’t think he should let himself. He is uncomfortable with emotional vulnerability and general displays of weakness. He would much rather brush something off with a one-liner than actually confront it. The other members of the team are: Foxtail: The leader. She is bold and determined and everything a hero should be. She directly recruited Laserblast a few years ago. He’s known her the longest. Doctor Grayman: Their scientist, a slightly eccentric alien mastermind. Rippy Roo: A new recruit. She is a cartoonish kangaroo that can pull anything out of her pouch, she can’t talk, but she’s one of the more emotionally mature members of the team. El-Bow: Another new recruit. He is a nervous musclebound hero with a wrestling theme. Vastly powerful but very timid. Laserblast doesn’t talk to him much at all. And, last but not least, Silverspark.: The last new recruit. She is bright and plucky and… basically perfect. She’s amazing at everything. She and Laserblast are sort of dating, but he’s horrifically jealous of her. He thinks that she’s better than him, and that she must know it. That she’s just humoring him because she pities him. He loves her, which scares him, and resents her, which scares him more.
