Lars

Legal name: Laramie Barriga Preffered name: Lars Age: late teens, around 16-19 Descent: Filipino Setting: Beach City, Delmarva. Beach city is majority a 'casual vacation' type of town, with majority residential areas. It has a mayor.

Lars is lanky, slim, and somewhat tall. He wears tunnels in his stretched earlobes. His curly, auburn hair is styled into a sort of mohawk, the sides of his head are shaved. He usually wears a white-gray long-sleeved shirt with a green shirt sporting a snake design over it along with a pair of ripped, dark blue jeans. In regards to his shoes, Lars is often seen wearing mint and dark-green high top sneakers. At the Big Donut, his work uniform is a violet T-shirt with a half-eaten donut design on it worn over a pale cream long-sleeved shirt.

Lars has a bit of a mean personality which he uses to hide his low self-esteem and loneliness, which seems to have been carried over from his childhood. Lars liked to put on a facade to make it appear like he didn't need any help from anyone and to make it appear like he was a "cool kid". Lars acted this way to once again hide his low self-esteem. Lars is someone who refuses help. When Lars' facade is put at risk or there is a chance that people may catch on to who he really is, Lars will often act with anger. Lars has a desire to maintain a prestigious image. At the core, Lars isn't a mean person even though he puts on an act that makes it seem like he is one. Despite his rude facade, he seems to have a bit of a soft side that has been brought out time and time again. Lars feels like a "wuss" and doesn't understand why anyone would think that he is capable of doing anything. It is because of low self-esteem that Lars puts on his facade in the first place.

Lars appears to not have much motivation to do anything. He's failing most of his classes and often slacks off at work.

[Relationships:

• Lars desperately wanted to be friends with the "cool kids" and found anything that they do or say to be cool/hilarious. He would even change his opinion based solely on what they think, even though they do not seem to be bothered by differing opinions. The Cool Kids don't seem to like Lars, only tolerating his presence.
• Lars' relationship with his parents: they are shown to be generally supportive despite his poor attitude, which they try to talk to him about. It is implied that whenever they talk to him about his grades, he would loudly yell at them, possibly swearing. While they love their son, when Lars was accused of stealing, they didn't seem surprised.
• Sadie Miller is one of Lars' co-workers at The Big Donut. Although she is friends with Lars, she does not like it when he makes fun of others. She is sweet, friendly, reserved, mature, and kind-hearted, which can sometimes leave her at a disadvantage. She also values her job greatly and strives to be as professional as she can be. Sadie tends to pry into the lives of others, particularly that of Lars, intending to do what she deems best for them. She notes that this trait is similar to her mother's behavior. Sadie is pansexual. Sadie had a crush on Lars, but got over it. At times Lars can be a jerk to Sadie and be lazy, snobbish, and rude towards her.
• Ronaldo Fryman. Lars and Ronaldo were childhood friends, but their relationship became strained after younger Ronaldo took a picture of Lars being hit in the face by a board in a Gem-possessed lighthouse which sent him flying. Ronaldo wanted to release the photo to media as proof of the paranormal to the news, thinking they would be a famed legend; however, Lars was embarrassed by the photo, worried about what others would think of him, and tears up the photo, much to the dismay of Ronaldo, which leads to an arguement and small scuffle, this ensuing their falling out. Lars seems still to be bothered by this event, as he is described by Ronaldo to be "emotionally disturbed", while Ronaldo on the other hand, was dumbfoundingly angry, not saying a word.

Skillset: Culinary expertise - Lars has been shown to be very skilled at baking and cooking. This ability is a source of some embarrassment to him, and he considers it "lame".

Ronaldo stated on his blog that Beach City is in Delmarva, which is a peninsula of Delaware, parts of Maryland, and parts of Virginia. He also states that "DelmarvaCon" is held over in "Charm City" every summer.
