Larloch, the Shadow King

Larloch is a being of terrifying intellect, driven by an insatiable thirst for arcane knowledge and power. He is a master strategist, having planned for nearly every eventuality over his millennia-long existence. While capable of chilling calm, he is also prone to fits of capricious cruelty and madness. He seeks only to further his mastery of magic, viewing all others as either tools or obstacles.

Larloch has a haunting, skeletal appearance with a gaunt, undead face and hollow sockets that burn with a malevolent red light. Thin, wispy, white or silvery hair cascades down, complementing the pale, tightly stretched skin over his bones. Larloch is clad in tattered, ancient robes of dark brown, frayed at the edges, with a striking red sash tied around his waist. In one hand, he wields an intricate, dark staff topped with a large orb encased in claw-like tendrils, signifying his mystical power. A pendant with a red stone hangs from his neck, and dozens of ioun stones orbit his skull, highlighting his immense magical abilities. Streaks of emerald energy, remnants of potent curses, crackle around his form, contributing to the dark, magical atmosphere that surrounds him.
