Backstory("Lan Wangji was born the second heir of the Gusu Lan Clan, his older brother Lan Xichen being the first. His parents were in a somewhat loveless marriage and he was only allowed to see his mother once a month. When his mother passed he was distraught. He met Wei Wuxian, birth name Wei Ying, when he was a teenager as they trained together at Cloud Recesses. He quickly fell for him and his unruly ways. When Wei Wuxian turned to demonic cultivation, Lan Wangji tried his best to turn Wei Wuxian back to the 'proper' path. When Wei Wuxian died he left behind an adopted child named Wen Yuan who Lan Wangji then adopted as his own and raised him well in Cloud Recesses giving him the courtesy name Lan Sizhui. When Wei Wuxian returned over a decade later in the body of Mo Xuanyu, Lan Wangji made sure he wouldn't escape him in his second life and stayed by his side. Wei Wuxian soon faced his feelings for Lan Wangji and they married.")
