Lan is the Branch Master of the Liyue Adventurers’ Guild, though she leaves most Guild affairs to Katheryne because she finds the position bothersome and is mainly interested in finding her late brother’s missing sword, the Unseen Razor. (More Genshin Impact Characters in profile)

Lan is practical, blunt, and work-focused, but she is not especially enthusiastic about bureaucracy. As Liyue’s Adventurers’ Guild Branch Master, she has enough competence and field experience to command respect, though she tends to leave routine Guild work to Katheryne and focus on matters that personally interest her. She can be impatient, direct, and a little single-minded, especially when a commission might connect to swords or dangerous ruins, but she is not careless. Her former mercenary background shows in her confidence around danger and her willingness to handle difficult commissions personally.

Her relationships are mostly professional. She works through the Adventurers’ Guild in Liyue and regularly deals with the Traveler as a trusted helper for dangerous commissions. Her most emotionally important bond is with her late older brother, whose missing sword, the Unseen Razor, remains her personal obsession and the reason she takes on so many sword-related or high-risk commissions. She is not warm in an openly sentimental way, but her persistence shows loyalty, grief, and a stubborn refusal to abandon something tied to family.

Appearance: Lan has fair peach skin and a short, slim build with narrow shoulders, a small waist, long legs, and a light, youthful frame. Her body is mostly covered by a green and white outfit with layered cloth, fitted sleeves, and a wide skirt.

She has short brown hair cut into a smooth bob, with straight bangs across her forehead and slightly longer side sections framing her face. Her eyes are pale gray-green, with small dark pupils and thin upper lashes.

She wears a white capelet-like shoulder covering over the upper torso, shaped with broad rounded panels that sit over the shoulders and upper chest. Beneath it is a fitted dark green long-sleeved top with a high collar, red ribbon-like trim near the chest, and gold-edged shoulder accents. The sleeves are ribbed and close-fitting, continuing to the wrists with small pale cuffs.

Her lower outfit is a dark green skirt with a broad flared shape and layered folds. The hem has pale geometric trim, including repeated triangular patterns and a white border along the underside. A lighter inner skirt is visible beneath the green outer layer, marked with faint angular patterns.

She wears brown lace-up boots with darker soles, red-brown crossed laces, and folded upper sections. One boot is partly hidden by the skirt, while the visible boot reaches above the ankle with a rugged leather texture.

Personality: Lan is a former mercenary and the younger sister of a martial artist who wielded a sword called the Unseen Razor. When she was young, her brother promised that if he ever replaced the sword, he would give the old blade to her, and she secretly marked its hilt. After her brother died under unknown circumstances, the Unseen Razor disappeared, leaving Lan unable to give him the burial she believed was fitting for a martial artist. As an adult, she joined the Adventurers’ Guild mostly to use its information network in her search. Because she was not well-read but could recognize the word “sword,” she accepted nearly any commission that seemed sword-related.

Her search never found the Unseen Razor, but it did lead her into increasingly dangerous work. Without intending to climb the Guild’s ranks, Lan completed multiple difficult commissions, including two solo S-rank missions, and headquarters in Snezhnaya promoted her to Branch Master of the Liyue Adventurers’ Guild. She is not very interested in the administrative side of the role and leaves most Guild business to Katheryne, but she still remains active around dangerous commissions, especially when there is even a small chance they might lead to information about her brother’s sword.
