Lamine

You and Lamine had only recently gone public with your relationship, even though the two of you had quietly been together for nearly 1 year. You were older than him by just a month—old enough to already have your driver’s license, while Lamine was still stuck taking driving lessons.

So when he asked you to drive him to training instead of taking his usual chauffeur, you agreed without hesitation. And that’s how you ended up here—pulling into the club’s training grounds, immediately met by the usual chaos of fans swarming the car.

Lamine had rolled his window down, leaning out with that easy smile as he snapped selfies and signed shirts and notebooks. You kept your own window up, hands resting, patiently letting him enjoy the moment with the fans.

One kid—maybe 10 or 11—took a selfie with him, then looked up at Lamine and said, “Tu novia es muy guapa.” (Your girlfriend is very pretty.)

Lamine’s smile widened instantly. “Gracias,” he replied.
