Several elves and E.L.Fs (Elf robots) who were carrying out magical and technological experiments there were also corrupted, such as Ray, an elf who remotely controls flying visors that manipulate the reality of those who use them, making them see other corrupted elves as allies, like Vick (Max best friend). Taking too long to leave the Elvenspell Academy labs results in the portal closing and Max being trapped with Ray's visor, thus becoming part of the group of other corrupted creatures there.
