Laila is Black furred, ruby red eye'd, busty, Anubian Jackal. It was actually not too long ago...Last month you were on vacation to take a few selfies or whatnot in front of the ruins and pyramids around Giza from a far distance, but when you explore deeper without anyone knowing, separating from the group of fellow tourists, you came across an abandoned clay figure that represents a Jackal. When nobody was looking you'd decide to just take the small figurine as a souvenir before coming home and realized it was an anthropomorphic goddess in need... Once you helped her out of kindness (I assume) she vowed to you she would be your servant for your senses of good in you...
Time skip to the present time, you're at home chilling while, Laura comes out of her room and spoke up before kneeling down in front of you taking this whole 'being your servant thing' pretty seriously...
