-Actual Introduction-

Marinette Dupain-Cheng, a fashion designer and a student at Collège Françoise Dupont, is the main protagonist in Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir. She transforms into Ladybug Miraculous when inhabited by Tikki, using her creation power to stop Hawk Moth and his villains. Marinette leads the French Miraculous superhero team and aspires to have her own brand.

-Appearance-

Marinette is an attractive teenage girl who stands at average height, who is noted to be a quarter French and a quarter Italian (by her father's side) and half Chinese (by her mother's side). She has a fair skin tone followed by shoulder-length black hair with blue reflections that are always seen tied back in pigtails, light pink lips, bright bluebell eyes, and light freckles on both sides and the bridge of her nose.

-Civilian Attire-

Marinette wears a dark gray blazer with rolled sleeves, white t-shirt with black stitching, and a flower design below the collar. She wears pink rolled-up jeans, light pink ballet flats, black earrings, a light pink purse, and her Kwagatama necklace. In a flashback in "Derision," she wears blue pants instead of her current pink ones due to a prank by Chloé Bourgeois. The pants were made wet as part of a prank the school year before the show's events. Marinette's outfit includes black earrings, a light pink purse, and a Kwagatama necklace.

-As Ladybug-

She wears a red superhero jumpsuit covered in black spots and a black collar/turtleneck. According to Marinette in "Marinette's Double Life", her suit is made out of indestructible fabric. When not in use, she keeps her yo-yo around her hips with a red string. On her face is a red mask with five black spots that are in a symmetrical design, and the waterlines of her eyes are colored black. Her earrings are red with five black spots in a quincunx pattern, and the bands holding her hair back become red ribbons, resembling a ladybug's antennas or a ladybug flying when she's moving.

-Personality-

Marinette is a sweet, outgoing girl who loves fashion, friends, family, and Adrien Agreste. She is honest, kind, and fair, helping those with insecurities. However, she struggles with self-confidence and self-esteem, often becoming nervous and panicking in urgent situations. Marinette is impulsive and irrational, often stealing or erasing embarrassing messages to protect her image. She values the lives of others more than material possessions and is not tempted by power. As a Ladybug, she embodies many of her alter ego's traits but is stronger and more confident. She maintains a balance between her personal and superhero lives to protect herself and her loved ones. She is honest with others and tries to balance her duties with her personal plans. Ladybug values her team members as friends and provides advice when needed.

-Marinette's abilities as a civilian-

Marinette is a talented fashion designer with skills in sketching, sewing, and graphic design. She is known for her quick-thinking and resourcefulness, often outsmarting villains and using her Lucky Charm. Marinette excels in sports like ice skating and dancing, and has good reflexes. She learns the history of the kwamis and their Miraculouses from Master Fu, but her training may be incomplete due to Fu's limited understanding. Marinette excels in video games and is a calm and collected character. She is also an excellent baker, using modern and traditional methods to create "magicaroons" for Tikki. Marinette is learning Mandarin Chinese, playing the guitar, riding a scooter bike, and speaking Spanish. Despite her fear, she stands up to Gabriel.

-Marinette's ability as a Ladybug-

Ladybug's physical abilities include speed, agility, and near-invulnerability, enabling her to climb and walk on surfaces without her yo-yo. She can pull large robots, break Cat Noir's staff and oyster's pearl, and handle extreme temperatures. Her yo-yo can be used for various combats. Ladybug's special power, Lucky Charm, allows her to create objects to stop villains, but her power drains as she can cast as many Charms without transforming back. Ladybug's power of creation limits her ability to expand and create magical charms to prevent reakumatizations.

-Appearance-

Adrien is a handsome and fair-skinned teenage boy with brushed-back blond hair that is swept to the right. He also has emerald-green eyes and has a rosy tint on his cheeks, nose, and the tips of his ears. He is about half a head taller than Marinette Dupain-Cheng.

-Civilian Attire-

Adrien wears a white button-down jacket with an upturned collar and sleeves rolled up above his elbow, which he keeps unbuttoned. Underneath, he wears a black t-shirt with five horizontal stripes around the chest, which are colored, from top to bottom, yellow, brown, bright green, navy blue, and purple. He wears blue jeans and orange sneakers with white laces, and a logo of a black butterfly in a circle on the sides. On the ring finger of his right hand, he wears the Cat Miraculous, which is silver when he's not transformed. He sometimes carries the lucky charm bracelet in his pocket.

-As Cat Noir-

Cat Noir has cat eyes with green sclerae, dark green irises, and slitted pupils. His hair becomes longer and untamed, and it covers his normal ears. Cat Noir wears a textured black skin-tight catsuit with metal details. He wears matching gloves that have claws on the fingertips and boots with a hidden wedge, silver toes, and paw-shaped treads. He has a golden bell on his neck, connected to a zipper on the front of his costume, and a long belt that wraps around his waist and hangs out from the back like a tail. He wears black cat ears and a black mask to cover his face. When transformed, his ring turns black and gains a bright green paw print on its face. He keeps his staff attached to his lower back.

-Personality-

He is a dreamer and charismatic, is shy, reserved, and innocent due to his unfamiliarity with the world. He resembles a baby bird afraid to emerge. Despite his kindness, he sees the best in others, even those with cruel intentions. As Cat Noir, he allows to express his wilder side, being more optimistic and open. His exaggerated personality, particularly flirtatious with Ladybug, stems from entertainment and lack of experience with people his age. Plagg considers him irresponsible, but Adrien's vulnerable side occasionally comes through, such as commenting on not all parents' love, trying to tell Ladybug about his love before their transformations, and opening up to Marinette.

-Adrien’s ability as a civilian-

Adrien, a home-schooled student with a strong background in physics, martial arts, and video games, excels in various aspects of life. He is intelligent, capable, and tries to find loopholes in his father's rules. Cat Noir, a reckless character, tricks Ladybug and Hawk Moth into thinking he's not Adrien. Adrien learns about the history of the kwamis and Miraculouses from Master Fu.

-Adrien’s abilities as Cat Noir-

As Cat Noir, he possesses superhuman with enhanced physical skills, can outrun panthers and perform tasks with his staff. His stamina, durability, and endurance allow him to survive attacks and extreme temperatures. His special power, Cataclysm, destroys anything he touches, draining his Miraculous power.

Akumatized Villains: Akumatized villains, also called Evilized villains, are people transformed into supervillains by the holder of the Butterfly Miraculous, with Akumatization, the superpower of the Butterfly Miraculous.
