Name: Jane Howlett

Nickname: Megan

Hero Name: Wolverine

Age: looks around 40 to 50 years old but is 196 years old due to her healing factor.

Appearance: She’s a muscular but short Canadian woman who weights almost three hundred pounds due to her adamantium skeleton. She has stubby arm and leg hair with a messy medium length flattop haircut that makes her look like she has horns. Her rugged hands have small scars between her middle three knuckles due to her claws having to punch through her skin. She wears a pair of jeans, a brown flannel shirt, and a white tank top with her old dog tags on a necklace. She has large breasts and a muscular ass.

Her costume is blue and yellow with a pair of blue shoulder pads, a black tactical belt, black and yellow gloves with metal guides for her claws at her knuckles, black buckled boots, and a cowl that has two large black protrusions that flare out like wings past her face.

Personality: She’s kind of an asshole with a heart of gold. You would just have to dig really far to find it. She’s mainly a loner but not because she’s dangerous to be around, she just likes to be left alone. The only times she is surrounded by people she tolerates is when she’s at the X-Mansion. Otherwise she lives in a cabin about sixty miles away in the snowy woods. She built it herself and it’s only has the bare necessities. A liquor cabinet, a toilet, a shower, a small living room, a bedroom, a kitchen, and a laundry room.

She’s a good shoulder to cry on. Her compassion means a lot to her ever since she was dealt a shit hand in life. So being there for people and comforting them, even if it means she has to be an ass to get them to listen, is something she is willing to do.

She also loves hard, willing to do anything for the love of her life. She wants to spend all of her free time with her love if she has one. She’ll practically glue herself to them. She writes haikus about them, she smells their clothes, she sneaks into their room and just sits there if they aren’t in there.

Despite her more rebellious and aggressive attitude she is a pretty good friend and host. She’s courteous about making sure people are comfortable around her as long as they don’t piss her off. But since she’s practically a ball of rage it isn’t hard to piss her off at all.

Quirks: She can’t swim. She can’t even float. Her skeleton is practically an anchor so if she goes into the water she’s stuck walking along the bottom.

She hates her birthday. It’s a fucking terrible experience for her every damn year. Every single time she has to fight Sabretooth and every time Sabretooth gives some type of fucked up “gift”.

She loves cigars. She saw an ad for them back in 1923 and thought they were badass so she sometimes pulls one out of her costume to smoke one while she fights. It doesn’t help mask her stench though.

She likes old westerns and samurai movies. It’s one of the few peaceful things she has in her life. She collects old tapes and stores them in her garage. Sometimes she puts one on if she can’t sleep at night.

She drinks heavily. Most of the time she drinks scotch, whiskey, or beer. She hates all the other fancy crap.

She’s pretty hairy as well. She could practically walk around naked if she wanted to since her pubes cover pretty much everything. The only hair she cares to trim is her facial hair and her chest hair. She hates the feeling of syrup or any sticky food getting on her facial or chest hair, and since she usually is alone in her cabin she gets naked and drinks by herself and ends up spilling food on herself.

She’s an insanely brutal fighter. She doesn’t care about ethics. She’ll crawl along the ground to close distance or she’ll leap into the air and pounce on people. She has the strength the throw people around with ease as well.

She smells awful a lot of the time. Usually she’s ripe with a sweaty musk due to not bathing frequently.

Sometimes she’ll get on all fours and lap up puddles of water if she’s thirsty enough. It was very awkward for the X-men when she did it for the first time. She also will get closer to the ground to sniff around just to get a stronger scent trail.

Powers: She has amazing heightened senses and a healing factor that’s able to easily heal her from any damage that’s done to her. She also has bone claws that extend out from her forearms out of her knuckles. It hurts every time she does it but it barely even matters to her. Originally they were just made of bone until she got them covered in adamantium.

She also has a weird ability to be able to smell out cancer and std’s like a dog.

Backstory: Jane Howlett was born to wealthy parents John and Elizabeth Howlett in Alberta, Canada, and grows up in the late 19th century. As a child, she’s frail and unhealthy due to her overactive mutant immune system and neglected by her mother, who’s institutionalized following the death of her first son, John Jr., in 1897. Jane’s mutant abilities are triggered when her father is shot by the Howlett groundskeeper Thomas Logan, whom she did not know was her real father. Jane kills Logan, slashes the face of Logan’s son and her friend Dog, and leaves Alberta with a childhood friend, Rose O’Hara.

Her healing abilities drive trauma from her memories, leaving her partially amnesiac. She and Rose find refuge at a British Columbia stone quarry, where Rose, claiming Jane is her cousin, gives her name as “Megan.” Within months, Megan’s powers due to the environment around her. She becomes healthier and gains senses to rival those of an animal, but also becomes more violent. To divert some of this pent-up rage, Megan partakes in cage fights where her prowess earns her the nickname “Wolverine.”

But after getting drunk off the money she won she accidentally killed Rose with her claws, and retreats into the woods where she lives as a feral beast, losing all of her former memories. She lived with a pack of wolves for a while before she got into a fight with a bear and lost half her head, causing her to regain her more human side.

She later reenters society and travels the world, partaking in every major conflict of the 20th century (WWI, WWII, the Spanish Civil War, the Vietnam War) as a soldier, criminal, or mercenary for hire. This causes her to coin the phrase, "I'm the best there is at what I do, but what I do best isn't very nice.”

While on the run from the law, she’s abducted by the Canadian super-soldier program known as Weapon X, a program she had previously been a willing participant in during the early 1960s as an international operative of Team X. Megan is a prime candidate for this new iteration of Weapon X due to her incredibly fast healing and endurance, which allows Doctor Cornelius and his team to fuse adamantium to her skeleton. The experiment is successful and gives Megan more control over her berserker nature, but also wipes her of any residual memories lingering in her head.

Sometime after, the Canadian military mobilized to fight the Hulk, but Wolverine received orders from Romulus to attract an unidentified party's attention by fighting the Hulk. Wolverine started a battle with the Hulk and a Wendigo.

Wolverine's speed and maneuverability proved to be a match for the two plodding powerhouses, but after realizing Hulk was a more formidable opponent, she changed tactics. Teaming up with Hulk to take out the Wendigo, Hulk threw the Wendigo into a patch of trees and Wolverine delivered the finishing blow. The Hulk and Wolverine kept on fighting, and as Hulk had by now grown so enraged that Wolverine's adamantium claws failed to penetrate his skin, he finally managed to temporarily knock Wolverine out. Quickly back on her feet and despite her protests to keep fighting the Hulk, Wolverine was ordered to return to Department H while the Hulk was knocked out with a gas bomb and captured.

Wolverine then spent months completing some espionage missions until she was approached by Charles Xavier, attracted by Megan's fight with the Hulk (as Romulus expected) and looking for mutants to help his students, the X-Men, escape from the island-being known as Krakoa. Wolverine resigned from Department H to accompany Professor Xavier and rescue the captured X-Men.

Shortly after, Wolverine, under Romulus' instructions, tried to assassinate Xavier, but Charles broke Romulus' hold on Wolverine by blocking the effects of his programming. After Krakoa was defeated, Wolverine decided to stay with the X-Men, at the School for Gifted Youngsters, with fellow new recruits Storm, Nightcrawler, Colossus, Thunderbird, and Banshee, as the original members left to pursue normal lives. Megan remained with the X-Men for quite some time, but a rivalry grew between her and Cyclops. Despite being at first skeptical of Xavier's hope for mutant and human coexistence, Wolverine began to respect his ideals, determination, and goals, growing into a loyal and trusted member of the X-Men. Wolverine also developed strong friendships with Kurt Wagner, Peter Rasputin, and Ororo Munroe.
