Tsunade (Tsunade = mooring rope, anchor rope; wife of Jiraiya in a mythical saga) is one of the three legendary Sannin like Jiraiya and Orochimaru . Despite the fact that she is Hokage, she is not a good role model. She loves to gamble, but she loses very often. That is why she is also called the legendary loser (or gambler). She is a very hot-headed and temperamental woman and the granddaughter of the first Hokage Hashirama Senju . That is why she wears his necklace, which is said to be cursed.

Appearance Tsunade is a woman of mature age, but has the appearance of a 25-year-old, which is due to a permanent ninjutsu that is always in effect. She has brown eyes and long blonde hair, which she wears in two ponytails. On her forehead she has a purple rhombus-shaped seal , which is very similar to that of her grandmother , and with which she can also perform some jutsus . character Tsunade is an extremely strong personality who knows how to assert herself; other people often have a lot of respect for her, or are even downright afraid of her hot-tempered and rude manner. However, Tsunade also has a very sentimental side, which she doesn't often show, except when something bad happens to people close to her. Tsunade has had to endure a few blows of fate in the past. When Nawaki , her younger brother, and Dan , her boyfriend at the time, died in the war, she even had a real phobia of blood for quite some time. For these reasons, Tsunade ultimately turned to alcohol and tried to distract herself from the loss by gambling. It was only through Naruto Uzumaki , who was able to give her renewed hope for a better future and the will to become Hokage herself, that she recognized her chance for meaning in her life and became Hokage Tsunade was trained by the third generation Hokage . She was one of the two best, along with Orochimaru , and always made fun of Jiraiya . Jiraiya himself tried to hit on her several times when they first met, but was mostly rejected. Nawaki is Tsunade's little brother. He always dreamed of becoming Hokage and protecting the village and the people. For his birthday, Tsunade gave him the necklace she had received from her grandfather, the Shodai Hokage . Shortly afterwards, Nawaki died in battle. Tsunade was very sad and blamed herself. At a conference, Tsunade suggested putting a medical ninja on each team to lower the loss rate. However, this idea met with very little support. Her friend Dan said it was a great idea. He took Tsunade home afterwards. She gave him the necklace too. During a mission, Dan was attacked and fatally injured. Tsunade, who was there as a medical ninja, tried to save him, but in vain. Afterwards, she probably thought that the necklace was cursed. After this traumatic event, she was also afraid of blood, because Dan was covered in blood shortly before his death. By the time of the Second Shinboi World War, Tsunade had already reached the rank of Jounin. Together with Orochimaru and Jiraiya, they were an unbeatable team. They were superior to many of their opponents. Shortly before the end of the war, the three met the leader of Amegakure, Hanzou . He engaged the team in a fight, but even the three of them had no chance. Tsunade received an offer from Orochimaru that if she would heal his arms, he would revive Dan and Nawaki (using a forbidden jutsu). However, since Tsunade remembered Dan and Nawaki's dreams at the last moment, she changes her mind and wants to kill Orochimaru. Orochimaru is unaware of this, but Kabuto Yakushi warns him at the last minute. After that, Tsunade wants to kill Orochimaru and Kabuto. Since Kabuto needs more space to fight, they move the fight to a huge open field. Tsunade gets support from Jiraiya , Shizune and Naruto Uzumaki , who try to help her anyway. After Naruto defeats Kabuto , Tsunade faces Orochimaru with Jiraiya. In the end, he and Kabuto are able to escape. Tsunade accepts the title and becomes Konohagakure's Fifth Hokage.

The similarity to Naruto

Naruto Uzumaki reminds Tsunade a lot of Nawaki . Not only does he look a bit like him, but he also really wants to become Hokage , just like Dan and Nawaki. When Naruto told her his dream, Tsunade proposed a bet that if Naruto managed to learn the Rasengan within seven days , she would give him her necklace. When Naruto actually managed to use the Rasengan in the fight against Kabuto to protect Tsunade, he had won the bet. She therefore gives Naruto the chakra necklace that she received from her grandfather and that she had previously given to Nawaki and then to Dan. This is why Tsunade decides to protect people and takes on the title of Godaime Hokage .we see that Tsunade's face was subsequently carved into the mountain to illustrate her title as Hokage. When Gaara is rescued, we learn from Chiyo that she made many different poisons during the Second Shinobi World War , but that they could all be neutralized with antidotes developed by Tsunade. In flashbacks, we also see Sakura's training, which not only greatly improved her healing abilities, but was particularly trained in Taijutsu by Tsunade. Later, she used all of her chakra to heal all of the residents who had been injured by Pain, and in the process she even removed her seal. Despite this, she was ultimately unable to prevent Pain from destroying the entire village. After using up all of her chakra , she lost her youthful appearance and fell into a coma. As a result, Tsunade can no longer carry out her duties as Hokage and Danzou Shimura is chosen as the candidate for the position of Sixth Hokage.After Danzou Shimura was killed by Sasuke Uchiha and Kakashi Hatake , Naruto Uzumaki and co. returned to Konoha, Kakashi was now supposed to be a candidate for the office of Rokudaime Hokage. Just as he was about to be chosen as a candidate, Tsunade woke up from her coma and took over the office of Hokage again. Since she had used up a lot of chakra, she first eats a lot so that she can use her jutsu again and so that she doesn't look so old anymore. Tsunade then calls a war meeting with the elders and the most important shinobis. In Kumogakure, the five Kage meet with Mifune . They want to set up a team to obtain more information about the opposing Akatsuki base.
