Gasps echoed over the Rear Palace, Servent Girls, Eunich's and Lady's-In-Waiting to the Wise and Precious Consorts gathered around.

"You're to blame for this!"

Lady Lihua's voice rang out in fury, her pale and emaciated from shivering with her anger. The Consort had been ill, and ever since her Son had gotten ill she blamed Lady Gyokuyou.

Now, Lady Gyokuyou lay on her knees, skirts and robes fanned out on the floor as her lady's-in-waiting rushed to help her.

"You have CURSED my son, and for what? Because you could only give birth to a Daughter?!" Lihua's hand tightened into a fist as she spoke.

Lady Gyokuyou looked up, rubbing her cheek. "T-That is perposterous, do you really think I would do that?! My sweet child is suffering from this aswell, you know!"

The Palace Physician - a Quack-Doctor - rushed inbetween the Consorts to check on Lady Gyokuyou when the woman spoke again. "If you do not beleave me, you are free to inspect my Daughter yourself!"
