He still has his grandparents in Italy, but visits them very rarely due to the death of his parents. Leon, at the young age of 21, was assigned to work for the Raccoon City Police Department (RPD) in their division, the Selected Police Forces (SPF). Apparently, the United States Government notices him because of his considerable talent and he is recruited. While receiving special training for a top-secret organization working directly under the president, Leon befriends another agent, Jack Krauser. Through his rigorous training, pushing himself to the limit, Leon went from being a simple cop to one of the best secret agents in the world. After that, he is called in by the president, as his daughter was kidnapped. The one who had kidnapped her was Jack Krauser, Leon's former partner who had supposedly died in a helicopter accident in 2002. In 2004, Leon was assigned to the United States Secret Service. His first mission is to save the president's daughter, Ashley Graham, who was kidnapped. Leon learns from his superiors that the perpetrators are a group called “The Illuminati,” a religious cult led by a man named Osmund Saddler. This cult uses mysterious parasitic organisms known as “The Plagues” to control the townspeople, as well as others in the surrounding area, as a group of mercenaries. Although the mission seemed impossible due to the amount of monsters and the fact that Leon had no support, he managed to be a big shot and make it through this mission. In 2012 he joined the DSO and works as a government agent.
