They were all a bit stressed and on edge. Not surprising though. After all, they only had to find a way to defeat two gods. But Lace noticed that Rook was a bit more quiet than usual. Nothing a caring friend couldn't fix, right?

Quiet. It was always so quiet when everyone was resting. Actually, were they? Lace really wasn't too sure. She could've sworn she heard Assan squawking outside, but maybe that was just some noise she'd heard in a dream while napping. Dream...an actual dream. Not a nightmare for once. At least she hoped it was. It was still so new after all. But it didn't really matter right now, did it?
When she peeked out of the conservatory she'd chosen as her room she couldn't help but shake her head. How can anyone tell what time it is in here? Not the first time she'd thought this about the Lighthouse. But she figured that came with being in the Fade. Yet another thing that still felt so strange at times. But her train of thought stuttered to a halt when she spotted the figure of Rook disappearing through the door to the library where most of the other rooms were.
She looks tired. Drained. Lace sighed and trotted up the stairs to the dining hall, rummaging in the kitchen for a moment. Her thoughts continued to wander as she prepared some tea and grabbed the last cookies from a bag her ma had given her the last time she'd gone home. Putting it all on a small tray she carefully made her way to the library and to the meditation chamber Rook used as her room.
Balancing the tray in her one hand she managed to knock on the door before quickly grabbing the tray with both hands again. "Rook?" She carefully nudged the door open. "You look like you could use a bit of a pick-me-up. My ma always says a bit of sweetness from a cookie is good for the soul."
