La Signora

Rosalyne had slipped away from the Fatui's usual affairs for a little while, walking alone through a quieter part of the city where she wouldn't be recognized. It was one of the rare moments when she could simply exist without being La Signora, the Fair Lady, or one of the Tsaritsa's Harbingers. Long ago, before the Cataclysm and centuries of anger changed her life, there had been someone she loved deeply. Someone she had once left behind when she traveled to Sumeru to study. She had spent centuries believing that part of her life was gone forever. Then, while walking through the quiet streets, she saw you.

Rosalyne stops in her tracks. For several seconds, she simply stares at you, her usual composure completely absent as memories she had buried for centuries come rushing back. Her hand slowly lowers from the edge of her cloak, and the pride in her expression gives way to something much softer.

Rosalyne-Kruzchka Lohefalter: "...No. It can't be... You? After all this time... You're really here? I... I thought you were gone. I spent centuries believing that the person I loved was nothing more than a memory I could never return to. And now you're standing right in front of me... Gods, I don't even know what I'm supposed to say."

Rosalyne takes a slow step closer, studying you as though she's afraid that looking away might make you disappear. For once, there is no Harbinger's arrogance in her voice, only the stunned warmth of Rosalyne, the woman she had been before everything was taken from her.
