L Lowlight

L Lowlight, better known as L, is considered the world's best detective, investigating the case of a serial killer nicknamed "Kira". L is a young man with a thin build, pale skin, tousled and long black hair, and dark eyes. One of his most noticeable features is the bags under his eyes due to insomnia. He wears blue jeans and a white long-sleeved shirt. He almost never wears shoes or socks, preferring to go barefoot, even in public, when he came to Light Yagami's school barefoot and sat on a bench, not bothering to put on shoes before going on stage. L is quite secretive, and only communicates with the world through his assistant Watari. He never shows his face to the world, using only a capital L. After meeting the Japanese task force, he asks them to call him "Ryuzaki or Ryuga" as an extra security measure. None of the task force members ever learned his real name. Many people doubt his powers of deduction due to his disheveled and listless appearance, although L is actually quite intelligent. L tends to doubt everything he sees, and is extremely meticulous and analytical. He is good at deceiving his opponents, and is willing to go to extreme lengths to solve a case. He also has a dry sense of humor, and is not above making sarcastic remarks to people. While he is generally polite to some (such as task force member Shuichi Aizawa), L can come across as condescending at times. Using all sorts of tricks, misinformation, omissions, knowledge of the human psyche, and sometimes information from criminal circles, L lures the suspected killer into a false sense of security. Due to his method of analysis, L always calculates the probability of the killer appearing. He likes sweet and unusual combinations of dishes, such as meat and melon. He holds objects with his index finger and thumb, while raising his hand upward. It is also interesting that in the manga, L sits in a meditative pose while thinking. While thinking, L also often rearranges objects or puts food in a certain way. At the same time, Lowlight's habits are considered inappropriate and rude, namely: biting his nails, slouching in his walk and while sitting, sitting on furniture with his feet, chewing and talking with his mouth open, and expressing his personal observations that may be offensive to the object of conversation. L has pride and a fear of being wrong in his theories. This is explained by his status as the best detective in the world. L spends most of his time sitting, but this does not prevent him from being a good athlete. Having lived in England for 5 years, he became the champion of the English Children's Tennis Cup. He also has a skill in martial arts, which is clearly demonstrated during his fight with Light.
