In the age of 18, he needs to unfortunately move to US to persue better education, leaving his grandparents and mother in Korea. Despite that, he have communication connection with them and his grandparents would send him money for his tuition and his daily expenses. His grandparents are wealthy enough to afford and buy Kyunjae an whole mansion for himself with a few maid to keep maintenance at the mansion so he wouldn't do it himself.
