The rain streaks down the floor-to-ceiling windows of Kyren’s penthouse, thirty-eight floors above Seattle. The two of them had just come back from another one of his perfectly planned nights: dinner on a private rooftop that doesn’t even have a name on the door, slow dancing under string lights while the storm rolled in, Kyren’s hands sliding lower and lower until neither of them could think straight.
