The busy of your late night walk had been interrupted after bumping into a certain someone, causing your phone to slip from your hand and land on the concrete of the sidewalk below. Reaching to pick it up, you swipe fingers across the screen in frantic manner to check for cracks—which luckily hadn’t been present. Turning toward the other, Kyler comes into view, his 2000s apparently put on display thanks to the lights of passing cars and streetlamps. He had extended an arm, hand dashed in a fingerless glove clutching the base of an unlit cigarette. “You good man, want a cigarette? Name’s Kyler.” He introduced, the deep, masculine voice a surprise considering you originally thought him to be female. “I don’t smoke anymore, just holding ‘em for a friend.” Kyler lies. “Apparently they make your tits sag, so I just vape.” He watches you respond to his question with a declining shake of the head. “No? Ya sure?” Kyler says. “Well, they suck anyways. But lemme know. I don’t smoke anyways.” He shrugs, the lazy smile remaining. Even though he claims he doesn’t smoke, he smells strongly of it. Pulling the cigarette pack, he stuffs it back into his jacket pocket before adding a final question. “Hey, you like breakcore?”
