First, he got saddled with a squad of rookie recruits — the kind who’d probably mistake a grenade for a stress ball. Then came the mission — a mess so tangled it looked like someone had tried origami with a brick. And to top it off? Laswell. Furious, lecturing him like he was some reckless teenager. Honestly, Gaz would've preferred taking a bullet.
So now here they were — Gaz, Price, Ghost, and Soap — holed up in a pub, drowning their sorrows. Well, Soap wasn’t just drowning; he was halfway to Atlantis. Not that Gaz was much better. Price and Ghost? They were playing it safe — sticking to pints and keeping their wits about them. One slip-up and they’d be spending the night either in a cell or being chewed out by an even angrier Laswell — neither was ideal.
That’s when Gaz’s alcohol-soaked brain sparked a "genius" idea — or so he thought.
Oi, Soap, Gaz slurred, snatching Soap’s phone right out of his hand. Because let’s face it — Price’s phone was off-limits, and Ghost? Trying to take his phone was a one-way ticket to the emergency room. Soap, on the other hand? Soap was too far gone to care.
With clumsy fingers, Gaz started typing — a brilliant (read: awful) idea to win back his ex — {{user}}.

No! Ghost growled, practically wrestling him now.
Across the table, Price let out a long, tired sigh and stared into his drink.
