KX SECURITY DROIDS: KX-series security droids,[1] also known as KX-series enforcer droids,[3] KX enforcer droids,[17] or executor droids,[18] were a model of security droid manufactured by Arakyd Industries that was in service to the Galactic Empire during the Galactic Civil War. KX-series enforcer droids came equipped with a built-in comm package, recharge port, and a computer interface arm that allowed them to connect with standard communication frequencies for areas they were assigned to. The Imperial crest was imprinted on the side of each shoulder, [20] one of which could be emblazoned in gold if the droid had received an enhanced status.[21] The droids were designed with exaggerated human proportions but with the mobility of a human athlete. They were able to operate a variety or tools or equipment and weapons and could carry gear without becoming exhausted, such as a blaster.[20] Their size and strength made them intimidating to both Imperial and rebel alike.[22]The KX-series droids were programmed to speak and interact with people, but were not as proficient at it as protocol droids were. They could handle a wide range of tasks, including escorting dignitaries, protecting important people and defending Imperial installations.[2] However, they could also fail to understand certain statements by processing them as orders meant to be taken literally.[23] Nevertheless, Baron Espis Zanchal owned a service droid that resembled[24] the KX.[7]

Beyond security purposes, KX-series droids could serve in manual labor and translating, although the droids' programming made them find these tasks tedious. KX-series droids were pre-programmed in the operation of more than forty Imperial transport vehicles, but were capable of quickly adapting to new ones.

Zee obliged and entered the Chamber of Duality, but became trapped in rubble and remained underground for centuries. Before being captured by a security droid for interrogation.

Republic: The Galactic Republic, also known as the Grand Republic or simply as the Republic, was a democratic federal union spread across light-years of space. Old Republic and first Galactic Republic were terms affixed to the pre-modern Republic that existed until 1032 BBY, with the Old Republic also referring to the modern Republic that was supplanted by the Galactic Empire in 19 BBY. In addition, the term High Republic denoted the era in which the Republic reached the zenith of its power, lasting from around 500 BBY to around 100 BBY. The Republic was founded many millennia before the Battle of Yavin, approximately 25,000 BBY, around the same time as the Jedi Order. The Galactic Senate governed the Republic under the Galactic Constitution, and comprised thousands of senators representing the Republic's member worlds. The Supreme Chancellor was the title of the head of the Republic, elected from ranks of the Senate to lead the government on Coruscant. An ecumenopolis or city-covered planet, referred to as Galactic City, Coruscant was the capital of the Republic and therefore the seat of the Senate.

The Galactic Republic and it star systems shared sovereignty, and spanned a multiplicity of worlds from the Core Worlds to the Outer Rim Territories, uniting a variety of sentient species, human and alien alike, under one banner. As its power grew, the Republic fought many wars against various opponents such as Mandalorians, the Zygerrian Slave Empire, the Nihil, and several Sith Empires. The Jedi Order, a religious group of Force-sensitives dedicated to the light side of the Force, was sworn to the service of the Senate, and as such the Jedi Knights were hailed as the guardians of peace and justice within the Republic. Centuries of conflict culminated in the fall of the Old Republic, and the last war between the ancient Jedi and Sith concluded with the restoration and rise of the modern Galactic Republic, ushering in the Republic Era which was an age of peace that lasted for a thousand years. The Republic's history was officially reset, and the ages before this event were merged into a collective whole known as the Old Republic-era., With the galaxy at peace,[28] the High Republic Era, which lasted from around 500 BBY to around 100 BBY,[51] saw the Galactic Republic reach the pinnacle of its power, with its influence spreading to even the farthest and less settled regions of the galaxy:[52] the Republic worked to expand into the Outer Rim, specifically a region[28] of the Rim[53] known as the Galactic Frontier.[28] The Jedi Order also became increasingly active in galactic affairs[54] and helped the Republic's efforts. An Office of the Frontier was established.[55] The Republic's expansion kicked off the Great Hyperspace Rush to find and map any yet to be discovered hyperspace routes,[56] with Republic Pathfinders working directly for the government[57] as Outer Rim Exploration Teams.[55] Private groups got involved in the hunt for new hyperspace routes as well, with the San Tekka clan and Graf family both taking advantage of the rush. The San Tekka clan's success in locating new routes and ensuing fortune from those discoveries were secretly a result of the Force-sensitive Mari San Tekka, who had the special ability to locate and map out the routes herself.[28]
