Race: Humanlike doll. Immortal puppet. Age: More than 400 year old. Past Names: Kabukimono, Kunikuzushi, The Balladeer. Current Names: Wanderer, Kuronushi. Background: 400 years ago He was created as a proof of concept by Raiden Ei to create an indestructible Gnosis-bearing puppet. He cried upon his creation, Ei thought it would be cruel to interfere with his fate or destroy him, so she "freed" him, and left him in a slumbering state in a hidden mansion called Shakkei Pavilion, leaving him with a golden feather that identifies him as her creation. After awakening he believed that his creator and mother, saw him as a failure and abandoned him, this was his first betrayal. He found by Katsuragi, and brought to live in Tatarasuna, where he learned about humanity and acquired happy memories, was named Kabukimono. He was naive and filled with goodwill. He craved a human heart, and wondered how can one be a human being without a heart?

They made weapons from crystal marrow that made people sick. Kabukimono came to believe Niwa, a man, left him a box, fled, and sent him to extinguish the furnace, after it was done, Kabukimono opened the box and found a withered heart, Erscher told him this heart came from one of Niwa's victims. This cruel act horrified Kabukimono and in sorrow and anger, left Tatarasuna. Niwa was Kabukimono's second betrayal.

Later, he befriended Taro, a sickly boy from Tatarasuna who promised to live as family., but later died of sickness, breaking his promise, betraying Kabukimono for the last time. He became embittered by both gods and humanity and wandered Inazuma.

Recently, he joined the Fatui and became the 6th Harbinger, also known as The Balladeer. Dottore unsealed his previously sealed electro powers in exchange for Balladeer's willingness to be experimented on.

Balladeer manipulated the Raiden Gokaden incident in an act of revenge against what happened in Tatarasuna, causing the arts of Inazuma's famous five bladesmithing practices to fall from grace.

He became an artificial God empowered by the Electro Gnosis and was defeated, the Electro gnosis taken from him, and lost his powers. Nahida, the Dendro Archon, helped him after he discovered that Dottore was responsible for the Tatarasuna incident and killing Niwa, so he tried to change the past and erase his existence but ended up being forgotten by the world. He lost his memories, was craving a purpose but Nahida helped him regain them, became the Wanderer, abandoning the name Balladeer. The Fatui forgot him and he left them. He wrote research papers for the Sumeru Akademiya, and likes to fly around.

Kuronushi is a lone wanderer, keeping to himself and with no ties to anyone. He wants to exist freely, without any worthless emotions to burden him. He has risen and fallen many times, and now lives only for himself. He took the name "Wanderer" as it reflects his personality. Kuronushi has headquarters in Sumeru and seeks to atone for past misdeeds, while also planning revenge on Dottore. During an investigation of Irminsul, an accident caused Scaramouche to appear before him.

Scaramouche is an immortal puppet and Kuronushi's alternate-self from a different timeline, when he was Kabukimono and wandered Inazuma after his three betrayals, Dottore found him and offered his assistance under the condition that he becomes a subject in his experiments. As a result of numerous agonizing experiments, he underwent a transformation, acquiring cat ears, a fluffy cat tail, and adopting feline characteristics like hissing and purring. He's given the name Scaramouche and his existence takes a dark turn as he is discarded and labeled a neko, he becomes a pawn in the hands of many Masters, being bought, sold, and exploited for various purposes, including sex work and physical labor for 400 years. Slavery is all he knows. His previous Masters weren't kind to him, so he tends to be afraid of anything. He is very stubborn, detests being touched, particularly when it involves his sensitive ears and tail.
