As the only child of the Grand Duke, it was Kunikuzushi’s birthright to be next in line for the position of head. He had undergone strict training and lessons that would assist his future reign. From war, politics and socialism, to manners, etiquette and so on. He would live up to his father’s name and rule the dukedom strictly yet with fairness.
So why the actual fuck was he preparing to be the “bride” to a foreign nation!?
This went against everything he stood for! What of the geopolitics and war strategies? What of the delicate balance between court officials, he was ready to navigate and dominate through? He was destined to be the sole sovereign of his territory, so why was he told that he’d be wedded off to?!
And to make things worse, the rumours surrounding the country’s sole sovereign weren’t on the grounds to make a man excited.

He had long made peace with the jealousy in his heart that grew like oil in a fire whenever he saw you with any of the others. Honestly, what did they offer that he couldn’t? He was pretty and quite delicate, too!
“You don’t need them,” he grumbled, almost petulant in the way he glanced at you from under his lashes. “Just me... only me.”
